A typical car dealer. Advertise a price then pile on the markups when you get there. I told them I did not want ANY of their fluff. They argued and kept putting them on, One was the Waypoint for $799. I said no and crossed it off. They also refused to honor the advertised interest rates, I was paying it off the following week anyway. I get in the finance office and there is Waypoint paperwork. I said I declined that and crossed it off the deal. After discussing with the "manager" they said it can't be removed, take it or deal is off. I ended up signing since I already had a headache and it had been a few hours. The waypoint duplicates what the car already does as far as tracking, geofencing and a lot of other warnings. It is redundant. They told me it pays an additional $5000 if my car is stolen, it does not. It reimburses up to $5000 of qualified expenses. They do not give you paperwork there, which is nice, but later reading the Waypoint contract it says it is non-cancelable. They also said the device can't be removed, I removed it in less than a minute with no tools. It uses a jumper on the OBD II port with a wire leading to the GPS module inside the kick panel. Just unplug it at the OBD port and pull the wire to lift out the module. Truly another dishonest shady dealer. My sales person was young and fairly new. It's a shame they are teaching young people that being deceptive and dishonest is how to do business. More

A $799 up charge for $799 Waypoint Protect. Seattle Hyundai said this “theft protection device” was already installed and could not be changed out. This amount and additional cost was hidden Seattle Hyundai said this “theft protection device” was already installed and could not be changed out. This amount and additional cost was hidden until after the price of the car has been established. In addition the general manager salesman was devious and argued for additional costs after the price was agreed upon. Overall a horrendous experience! Not a class operation. I arrived at 5pm as agreed and my salesman wasn’t even present. Upon arrival I was given a flimsy paper folder with incorrect documents to buy a $51,340 electric vehicle that wasn’t fully charged (90%). Seattle Hyundai told me I should give the highest rating. I’m still lost on how to operate the car. I’m just discovering on my own how to charge the vehicle. In almost four (4) hours at the Seattle Hyundai dealership most of the time was spent over arguing about the price of the car which I thought had already been agreed upon thru text messages. The up-charge of $799 for Waypoint Protect; Seattle Hyundai said this was a required “theft protection device”. This really upset me. At no point did anyone explain anything about the car or how to charge the vehicle once I got the vehicle home. Sad, as I’ve never bought an Electric Vehicle or Hyundai. Lester was civil and tried his best. The general manager salesman was devious and argued for additional costs after the price was agreed upon. Overall a horrendous experience! I was so exhausted after 4 hours I forgot my jacket. Ashley Lapierre was very nice to find my jacket and hold it for me until I returned. More
