The overall dealership experience was mixed. Pricing and trade-in were above average. The Sales department's job is to maximize sales price, either through add-ons or low trade in value. I felt Pricing and trade-in were above average. The Sales department's job is to maximize sales price, either through add-ons or low trade in value. I felt the trade in value was very fair and after some back and forth the add-ons were negotiated out of the pricing. The vehicle was in transit so I put down a non-refundable deposit. It was after this that things went a little south. The requests I made, such as not allowing test drives and not installing add-ons were acknowledged and I was told the service/sales departments would be made aware of these requests. Upon delivery and pickup of our new vehicle it was apparent that these requests were never passed along. None of these were show-stoppers and we took delivery of the vehicle and drove home. I believe that this lack of communication was not intentional and that, well, dealerships get busy and things do get dropped. I did a follow-up with the dealership leadership and came away feeling that every, yes every, concern/issue I had experienced was heard. The leadership did a fact finding (as they should) to verify that my version was supported by the people I interacted with. They went further and let me know that additional procedures had been put in place to ensure that communications between departments within the dealership would be added to the checkoff list of pre inspection items before delivery to the customer. Overall I would do business with Hometown Toyota again, and would work with the same people. More

The only bad thing was, me a new car buyer they had talked more with my parents then the actual buyer of the vehicle, and had said that they would sent me updates and never did. I didn't get my car the talked more with my parents then the actual buyer of the vehicle, and had said that they would sent me updates and never did. I didn't get my car the next day I just wasn't happy with signing the contract but hardly getting talk to compared to my parents. More
