Charles, I’d like to respectfully clarify a few important details regarding your father’s purchase. The truck in question is a 2007 model year vehicle — nearly 20 years old — and it was clearly disclosed and signed for as an “as-is” purchase, including multiple written acknowledgements confirming that no warranty was expressed or implied. It is also a modified vehicle, which was fully transparent during the sale. That said, even though the vehicle was purchased as-is, when the fuel gauge issue was brought to our attention, we provided a loaner vehicle and assisted with a minor repair at no charge as a gesture of goodwill — something we were not contractually obligated to do. We understand that older, modified vehicles can come with unpredictability, and that’s precisely why the as-is documentation is reviewed thoroughly at time of purchase. Our goal is always transparency. If there are still concerns, I’m happy to personally speak with you to review everything again.
