This dealership ranks right up there with one of the worst I have ever dealt with. I received an offer to buy a vehicle from them from a third party site (True Car) for a predetermined price which they worst I have ever dealt with. I received an offer to buy a vehicle from them from a third party site (True Car) for a predetermined price which they refused to honor and wanted to tack on additional fees of $995 for "certified pre-owned" which was clearly included in the price quote. The salesperson that I dealt with was absolutely horrible, he communicated poorly and was borderline rude. We were trying to do a deal for over 3 days and I eventually just had to walk away because they were just unwilling to compromise on anything at all, very poor customer service. Their ad stated that they would do at home delivery because of Covid but they flat out refused and demanded that I had to come in person for no good reason. I really tried to make it work, I was approved for a loan but due to the distance(70 miles one way) and their refusal to deliver as they advertised I needed to arrange for someone to come with me to get the vehicle back home. Now in all fairness the delivery radius is 50 miles but I offered to meet within the 50 miles and that request was refused. I even offered to pay a holding deposit until I could get there the very next morning but again no compromises at all, basically it was their way or no way at alI so after all of the frustration I chose to take my business elsewhere. You have been warned. More

The vehicle was on the lot on Wednesday January 9 from the auction and my daughter and I went to look at it Thursday January 10th I. The evening after work.my daughter went through her own finance company and since it was night time you really can’t see how clean it is inside.i took vehicle back to packer on January 15th to show the manager on duty who happened to be win and I only wanted 5 minutes of his time to show him how dirty vehicle was inside and I even brought a flashlight.there was no customers in the sales area and the receptionist said to give him five minutes so I waited ten minutes and she came to me and said he didn’t have time and he would call me.never heard from him at all.the next day frank the sales person called me to see what was going on and I proceeded to tell him wyn was _ ________ and should not be working there.i did not want it cleaned that night I just wanted to show him what I was there for.so my daughter set it up with frank to have it cleaned on Friday Jan 18th.she picks car up that evening and isn’t happy so I look at it and like I said I understand it is a used vehicle it looked bad.i took vehicle back to packer on Jan 19th which is today and frank brings wyn out to look at it.i show him the issues and he says we have done what we can and walks back into the showroom.i try to call frank and he won’t answer phone.i have never seen a used certified vehicle leave a dealership looking the way it does.i can take my fingers and get dirt off the cargo area panels. I would give zero stars if possible Do not go to Al Packer’s White Marsh Ford. This has been, by far, our worst car buying experience ever. We purchased a Ford Certified Pre-Owned 2016 F Do not go to Al Packer’s White Marsh Ford. This has been, by far, our worst car buying experience ever. We purchased a Ford Certified Pre-Owned 2016 Ford Explorer from Al Packer’s in October 2018. We traded in a 2016 Ford Explorer XLT with second row bench seats to upgrade to a 2016 Ford Explorer Limed with second row bucket seats. We worked with two different sales people there. The first one was terrible. While I was at the dealership that morning, without my husband, he told me the 2016 Limited was the only Ford Explorer they had on the lot with second row bucket seats. I came home that afternoon and found a pre-owner XLT on their website with bucket seats. When I called to ask him about it, he did admit they had it, but he did not want to show it to me. He acted very frustrated that I even wanted to ask questions about it. My husband and I went back that night together to test drive the 2016 Limited. We liked it and worked on a deal involving our trade in. They pushed us extremely hard to buy it that night and drive it home that night. We did not want to do that because we wanted time to talk about it and finalize our financing. You could tell they were not happy with us when we left there. We went back the following day to finalize the sale. We secured financing with USAA on our own, so we did not finance through the dealership. We wanted to keep the Explorer we were trading in until the fixed three significant scratches and dents in the car we were purchasing. They talked us into driving the new car home that night and we signed a “We Owe You” slip to get the damage fixed. We were told it would be very simple to do and the dent/paint people would come to our house to do it. That was in October. This is December 11th. The dents and scratches have not been fixed. We have called the dealership, we have driven to the dealership and we have asked repeatedly to speak to the GM named John and the Used Sales Manager names Russell. We have been promised calls back and have received none. The New Car Sales Manager, Jimmy, did send the dent repair guy to my house. Steve, the dent repairman did finally come about a week ago, but could not repair 2 out of 3 of the issues. He suggested I purchase a bra for my $32,000 2016 Ford Explorer to “cover up the issue”. I’m sorry, but that is unacceptable. Since then we have tried to reach both John the GM and Russell the used sales manager with no luck. We have been promised calls back with no return phone calls. Today I was told the GM would call me back at 2:30 pm. That didn’t happen. I called back and was hung up on 3 times by the rude reception. I finally asked to speak to anyone in sales and was given to Johnny, who was also one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. He told that the GM had gone home for the night and would not be back until Thursday (this is Tuesday) and there was no one else there I could speak to. He also hung up on me. I have tried texting and calling the salesman who helped us with the purchase, named Ryan. He was helpful at first, but has since then quit returning my text messages and phone calls. I am 36 weeks pregnant and stay home with my almost 2 year old. My husband works full time. Tonight, the receptionist told me the only way I would get to speak to anyone was to drive the 45 minutes to the dealership and wait to talk to someone, but she refused to set up an appointment for me to meet with John or Russell. Absolutely horrible experience. We are currently looking into our options as to where to take this from here. We absolutely do not recommend anyone do business with Al Packers. There are so many other good Ford dealers in this area, please do your business with one of them. I would not wish this experience on anyone else. More

Win did a great job. Coming from out of state to buy a car, sight unseen can be hard. Win made sure that all questions/concerns were handled prior to arriving. All of the Coming from out of state to buy a car, sight unseen can be hard. Win made sure that all questions/concerns were handled prior to arriving. All of the paperwork was handled and the experience was over all great. One criticism I have is that I noticed that the pain was bubbling from the edges of the hood. Luckily the vehicle still had a couple weeks of original warranty and the hood is going to be replaced by a local dealer where I am. But I feel that this being a warranty replacement your dealership should of had this taken care of prior to sale. More

Disappointing first car purchase experience On July 14, 2018 I excitedly headed down to Al Packers to look at a used 2015 Ford Mustang. I had been looking at them for a while and this one caught On July 14, 2018 I excitedly headed down to Al Packers to look at a used 2015 Ford Mustang. I had been looking at them for a while and this one caught my eye. I called Thursday and made an appointment with Kyaw Win for this specific Mustang for Saturday afternoon. My girlfriend and I headed down and met Mr. Win. He was busy, so we waited a few minutes while he finished up. He took us to the car, gave us the keys and sent us out for a test drive. We were a little disappointed at first because the car was parked in a dirt lot which is ok but it was covered in dirt. But ok away we go on our test drive. We came back from the test drive and Mr. Win immediately started by asking if we had any concerns. Which we did. It smelled like smoke and just wondered if they could get it out. We went through the typical sales pressures that we had heard about but we asked for some time to discuss an actual purchase and told him that we didn’t come to actually buy it today. We just wanted to see the car and test drive it and then have time to decide what we thought would be best from the ones we had gone to see the past week. When we asked Mr. Win for some time to think he said ok then sent the finance manager to us who spent the rest of his time pushing the car on us. Shame on us for being so naive about how car buying works but we really did try to leave but they just kept pushing. I know it’s their job to sell a car but the pushiness was overwhelming. In the end they were able to get me financed but here is my real problem. They never washed the car and we sat in the building answering questions and filling out paperwork the whole time. We never got to look at the car again to check it out for dings, damage etc. until it was all done. Even better is that it was still dirty. When we got home with the car it was immediately brought to our attention that the hood had bubbling in the front edge and that it is a known Ford problem that can’t be repaired without replacing the hood. The hoods are made of metal with an aluminum skin that are typically supposed to be protected from each other with some kind of barrier coat. When the barrier coat is missing or wasn’t applied well the two different metals corrode each other and the paint comes off a lot like rust. Technically it can be sanded and painted but it will happen again somewhere else on the hood. It should be replaced so that factory sealant is between the two dissimilar metals to prevent the problem from happening again. I researched it and did indeed find that Ford is currently in a law suit over the problem and it’s all over the internet about it. I had no idea until it was bought and didn’t see it because the car was dirty and my lack of experience in car buying. I emailed Mr. Win and told him the problem and he told me that it wasn’t a recall, which it isn’t but I thought that’s what it was called. Mr. Win said if it was a recall, to bring it into any Ford dealer and if it’s a recall it would be fixed for free. I went to my local dealer and they said no it’s not a warrantied item but they knew all about the problem. They said all Ford dealers know about it. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was a young first time car buyer. I was too inexperienced to know the process or fight the sales pressure techniques and now I have a car that has a hood that will continue to essentially eat itself. I can’t afford a new hood and just to have it painted is around $1000. Mr. Win and Mr. Wolf were friendly throughout the process. Thanks Al Packers, Mr. Win and Mr. Wolf for a life lesson. Next time I’ll be better prepared for the sales tactics and understand that a sale is a sale no matter who it hurts. More
