On 8/22/26 I went to Patriot to purchase my second vehicle from them in the past year. I was supposed to meet with Marcus, but they stuck me with Lee instead. After looking at a couple of trucks, we landed on a relatively clean 2020 Ram 1500. At first Lee told me that something was wrong with the truck, and that it had work done to it. He left and returned a few moments later and told me it was fixed and ready for a test drive. We drove it and it drove great- no check engine light, no hesitations or vibrations.... nothing that made me think it needed work. We got back and I said I wanted it, so we began the process. After about four hours there, we came to an agreement and I signed the contract. AFTER signing the contract, Lee told me that I couldn't leave with the truck due to it still needing "detailed" since it was fairly dirty inside. He quoted me a finish date of Monday, 8/24/26, and even offered to deliver it to my residence. I agreed with excitement. On Monday afternoon I called Lee for an update...... and was told that suddenly it needed parts, but he miraculously didnt know what was needed. It quickly became obvious that Lee didnt know anything about what was even going on or about what he was talking about, but I asked him to find out and let me know. He never called back, so I reached out that evening and he informed me it needed some switch for the trailer brake system..... mind you, nothing was wrote into the "We Owe" section...... no promise of services to be performed prior to sale, and Lee even failed to tell me about these services needing done prior to making the sale. He even went as far as to disguise it as needing "detailed".... I reached out to the GM, Kory, and told him the entire story. What was his immediate solution? He acted like a child and cancelled the contract. Instead of offering a solution and retaining a loyal customer, he chose to lash out and just cancel the deal and refund any down payment spent. Yes, during the sale everything seemed fine and I was happy at that time. But when the day came to take possession of my truck (I already spent money insuring it and had the hard inquiries to my credit when they ran it too), that original excitement vanished. All I can say is I have filed a complaint with the Oklahoma Used Motor Vehicle and Parts Commission, as well as filed complaints against the GM directly and his salesman Lee. For such a large dealer to treat a return customer so poorly has to speak volumes about the character of both the management and those involved that concealed legally necessary information for conducting this sale. After brief research I am finding many others with their own unfortunate experiences with Patriot, so I am sure a few more honest reviews are on their way as well. Kory and Lee, do better.
