Dear Concerned Customer, To begin, thank you for giving us another shot recently after whatever happened in 2021 when you chose another dealership to lease your last car from. It's a shame we didn't do the right thing and capture you at that time. This time around, we couldn't get it done again, and I'm sorry for that. I understand you have been a Ford salesman for a few years so you are probably the most familiar with market changes. A few years ago, it was great when we were using all that positive equity to roll people into a new lease at a great low monthly payment. Now, it's just the opposite. Last month was the first time I saw on our sales log where the "Lease Return" for trade explanation was greater than the "Trade In". That is certainly a tough conversation lately. I'm sure we didn't bring up the 2500 in overage in miles because with Infiniti, the overage charge on that mileage is $625 and they cover $500 of that if you buy or lease another Infiniti. We would obviously take care of the $125 extra. Justin should not have assumed that you remembered that from the business. The last part, I'll take responsibility for. We certainly wouldn't hold you "hostage", but I can see Justin being more aggressive with a fellow salesperson in the business. He meant no harm or disrespect. Knowing him, he was just thinking you guys were alike in many ways and wouldn't be offended by a little extra pressure. Again, I take full responsibility for that, and we should never assume. Thanks for the response, I ended up bringing in my q60 at herb chambers infiniti of Westborough with absolutely no problem at all the transaction was smooth, fast, and easy. They ended up just buying out the vehicle for the residual that was left. They covered everything for me and got me out of the q60 with $0 out of my pocket, and they got me into a nicer model with a better discount, less of a down payment, and the same monthly payment that you guys showed me. To try and replace the blame from you guys to me again just shows how “professional” you really are as we had an agreement from the beginning that I would be trading, however once the numbers came up that was now false and you guys were going to make me eat a $2500 bill without telling me. If I wasn’t from the business I would not have noticed as your pencil sheets don’t provide a breakdown. Also there is a difference between being aggressive and not giving somebody their keys after they had asked for them six times. I would never recommend any business here.

Dear Sjc, I want to respond to make sure you know we read your concern and respect your point of view. You are correct in stating that our car was priced $2000 over what the current market value is for the vehicle. The vehicle was in absolute pristine condition as though it had never been sat in nor been subject to New England weather conditions. Without the car being seen in person, you are correct that it would appear we were randomly pricing it out of the market but the condition justified the price. That being said, the customer that traded the vehicle to us was a good customer and knew what a gem they had. It was their elderly mother's vehicle and having not been able to drive for many years, the vehicle had been in storage. I took the car in on trade, paying a premium due to its mileage and condition. This is where it may have led to us not being able to meet the offer you had made to us even though you are correct, to the market, your offer made complete sense. Hi Lisa. Thanks for your reply. If I were in the market for a living room set, I would appreciate the “gem” like cosmetic condition of the vehicle. However, the vehicle (which spent the last 14 years in Indiana), has a recent history of no start/hard start conditions on 2 occasions. One could argue this is the reason why the car was no longer wanted. One may also think that not regularly driving a Mercedes is beneficial but in fact vital engine components have not been lubricated frequently enough and could lead to problems. Belts, bushings, bearings all fear the same. The lifters on this vehicle are very loud and the car idles very rough. All of this was communicated to your team and still no one realized that the “gem” is just another vehicle of that age with a nice appearance. I even informed your team that there was an open recall on the vehicle in which they were not aware. I offered what the carfax value is for that VIN in excellent condition. You posted the vehicle with a price on your website of $4,500 above book and state you are offering a 2K discount putting the vehicle still 2.5K above book. Your Team had the chance to make a fair cash deal with a new client and failed. My opinion is that you’d rather wait for someone who does not know anything about cars comes in and buys the shiny living room set for a price that benefits your bottom line. With the way the economy is right now, I don’t think it’s fair for your dealership to have this approach. Again, this is just my opinion which I’m sharing on my experience in which I’m entitled to. What’s done is done. I have bought another vehicle in which I was treated fairly somewhere else. You and your team can learn from this and move on or you can reply with more excuses as to why someone should pay top dollar for this vehicle. Take care.
