I received a notice in the mail that the airbag in the passenger side of my Subaru Impreza had been recalled, so I made an appointment at my nearest Subaru dealership in Palm Springs. I figured while I wa passenger side of my Subaru Impreza had been recalled, so I made an appointment at my nearest Subaru dealership in Palm Springs. I figured while I was there I would have them fix my headlights that had been out, too. I had not been to this dealership before, but soon realized it was a big mistake to take my car here. First of all the service was horrible. They have a bunch of inexperienced ‘kids,’ who apparently cannot answer basic questions, running the place. They appear miserable, like they must hate their jobs, and it is reflected in the way they treat the customer (and each other). But fine, “I’m just here to get my airbag (and headlights) fixed,” I thought. I dropped my car off, and came back later to pick it up, after the airbag/headlight issue had supposedly been fixed. Well, just a few miles after driving off the dealership lot, my car started violently shaking. I have NEVER had a single issue with my car, besides my headlights, prior to that. So I took my car back, and say, “Look, you guys obviously did something to the car when you were inside my dash fixing the airbag. So please fix this issue.” They completely and repeatedly denied ANY responsibility for the newly-presented issue with my transmission. I did, however, leave my car at the dealership so they could fix the problem with the transmission. So I then went to pick my car up, and they told me they had bad news. Apparently one of the PS Subaru employees screwed-up and put these repairs under the wrong VIN number. They found out when some guy on the west coast called and said he was receiving notices about work being done on his car, which was impossible since he was on the opposite side of the country. What an incompetent mess! Anyway, I drove my car home, and apparently the transmission issue (which they NEVER owned-up to) was resolved, but then I realized my headlights, that I paid for, were never fixed! So I took my car into the dealership yet again. I pointed out that I paid to have the headlights fixed, so I would like this taken care of. Again, I left my car with them. When I went to pick it up, they told me they had more bad news. They proceeded to inform me that they were, in fact, unable to fix my headlights. Well, since that was the case, I asked to be reimbursed. They couldn’t reimburse me, they said, since they had performed “work” on the car, regardless of the fact they were not able to fix what they said they were going to fix. And not only did they not reimburse me for the fees I paid related to the headlights being fixed the first time I took my car in, they charged me for the SECOND time I brought the car in to have them look into the headlights they never fixed! That’s when I realized PS Subaru is a scam, looking to rip you off. I’m a young-looking woman, and they probably assumed I was an easy target. I love Subaru and was looking to upgrade my car... but I will no longer be getting a Subaru since it’s these people I’m going to have to deal with. Never again. More
