Worse car purchasing experience ever. I purchased a used 2021 Nissan Rogue late one evening in August 2021. John Hadden, the sales person was quick to have the plates removed from my old car as the trade-in 2021 Nissan Rogue late one evening in August 2021. John Hadden, the sales person was quick to have the plates removed from my old car as the trade-in and placed on the new car. I was thinking that I would pick the new car up when I brought in the title and spare car key. I soon learn way the rush to get me off the lot at 9:00pm that evening. On my way home I realized that I did not like the car as much as I thought I did. It was not a good fit for me and I did not have much time to think about the “Apple Car Play” concept of not have an actual Navigation System in the car. I quickly realized that this car was not going to work for me since I depend on a navigation system heavily. I did not want to consistently use phone data when traveling. I called the dealership 9:45am the next morning to tell John Hadden that I needed to return this car for those reason. I was told by him and Sales Managers George Chavez and Mario Rapacz , the Used Car Sales Manager that I could not return a car. I pleated with them to take this car back and not to sale my old 2012 Rogue. I was told that a deal is a deal and that they could do what they wanted with my old car because I signed it over to him. They sold the car on Thursday without me bringing the title or the spare car key to them. They don’t care about the customer. They only care about making a sale by any means necessary. This dealership will not send you an invitation to write a review on the Woodfield Nissan website if you’ve had a bad experience with them. You will only find customer reviews that are a 5 on the website. More

Scott Gabrenya the service manager is a con artist. He doesn’t care about repeat customers or loyalty. Nothing like his brother the fire chief Bill Gabrenya. According to Forbes Magazine, car sales-people are one of the least trusted professions in the country with only members of Congress scoring lower in honesty and ethical standards. After my experience at Woo the least trusted professions in the country with only members of Congress scoring lower in honesty and ethical standards. After my experience at Woodfield Nissan on 12/26/2020 working with sales consultant John A. Haddon and used car director Jeff Kruger, I truly believe they have earned that designation. Let’s just say my 1 star review is overly generous. My daughter and I found a used car posting online for a price of $16,516.00 which included total dealer fees and accessories as well as pre owned certification. We called Woodfield Nissan to confirm price and availability. After receiving that confirmation from John Haddon, we drove over an hour to see the car. After the test drive, John informed us that they would not honor the online posting. The dealer fees would be an additional $427.00 and the pre owned certification would be an additional $1,295.00 (their Christmas special, $600.00 off their usual price). So the car was now going to cost us $1,722.00 more than their online price. After asking to speak with a manager we met with Jeff Kruger, used car director, who made sure I knew that he was trustworthy by starting many of his sentences with “I’m going to be completely honest with you.” Yes, you did just hear my eyes roll. I showed Jeff the online posting through Woodfield Nissan and True Car. He, in a very condescending manner, informed us that they had no obligation to honor the online posting. He stated that “True Car doesn’t run his business.” After two of the most frustrating hours of my life in negotiation, the price was decreased to $750.00 above the listed price. At this point, with five hours of my daughter’s and my time invested, we did buy the car even though we were overcharged by $750.00. I will be speaking with True Car’s conflict resolution department as well as the general manager to see if there is any way that the $750 could be refunded. If the dealership demonstrates any ethical standard to mediate the situation. I will update this review. Update: A representative from True Car’s conflict resolution department did contact Woodfield Nissan. The dealership felt this transaction met their “ethical standards” and refused any refund. It appears that the moral compass of not only John and Jeff but the entire dealership points due south. More

All in all, I had a great experience at this dealership. Anthony Castro referred me to this place, and I was so pleased that he did. Great service, and they helped me pick out the perfect car for me. I confirmed 3 times with him that the deal didn't include rebates I didn't qualify for and that there were no other hidden fees or surprises (like the unit was a loaner) i could expect. He assigned John Haddon as the sales person and John also confirmed the numbers and assured me there were no hidden surprises. So my wife could stay home with our kids, I took an Uber from Huntley to Woodfield Nissan to pick up the Armada. When I arrived and started looking the vehicle over, John Haddon informed me the vehicle had sustained transport damage, had been repaired, and that I would have to sign off on a disclosure form acknowledging the damages & repairs. I told him this was the exact kind of surprise I didn't want, but humored him and took a look at the form, which turned out to be 3-4 pages of detail and several thousand dollars worth of damage. I told him it was unbelievable that after i asked he and Jason multiple times to confirm there were no hidden surprises, they intentionally chose to hide this until I showed up in the dealership. I told him the deal was off and took an Uber back to Huntley. I will never buy or lease from Woodfield Nissan again based on this experience. We have since taken delivery of an identically equipped, new 2019 Armada Platinum from a different Nissan dealer. More
