My car has excessive oil consumption, 2 quarts in less than a 1,000 miles. I was told I needed a Combustion Clean Out "maintenance" procedure prior to finding and actually fixing that problem. I balked at than a 1,000 miles. I was told I needed a Combustion Clean Out "maintenance" procedure prior to finding and actually fixing that problem. I balked at the price of that procedure $900, as I had purchased a 3 year Engine Warranty Insurance policy when I bought the car. After posting my Rating I was contacted and offered that Maintenance Service free. The Maintenance Clean Out procedure was done. Now I am on my second Excessive Oil Consumption test which means I must drive my car for 1,000 miles and return to the dealership for to check the oil level. I will reserve my final Rating until after that is done and whatever engine problem causing excessive oil consumption is repaired. I do appreciate the dealership working with me on this issue.. More
