I am updating my review of Brandon Ford. (I kept my original review below). Within a couple hours after I posted my original review, sales manager Zoran Krekic called me. He wanted to maintain a positive customer relationship with me, and he said he would be overnighting me a check for the dealer fees I was disputing. I was impressed by his quick response, his positive attitude, and his flexibility. That's a sign of a good manager and a dealership that cares about its customers. Unlike manager Brooksye Hall, who told me everyone has to pay those fees (including his own family members), and who was more than willing to let me walk away from the Maverick I ordered from Ford. If not for Brooksye, I would rate Brandon Ford 5 stars. __________________________________________________________ (Original Review) Car dealerships have a reputation for "hiding" markups on vehicles. KBB defines dealer markup as "profit and a selling price the dealership assigns that is above and beyond the carmaker's MSRP". That's a simple concept. Markups can be obvious like "Dealer Markup" or "Adjusted Market Value". Markups can be less clear such as "Predelivery Service Fees". I ordered a 2023 Maverick from Ford. As we all know, this has to be done through a dealership. I was contacted by Jim Gordon of Brandon Ford. I asked him if there will be any markup over MSRP on my order. He stated in an email that there are no dealer markups on orders from Ford. After 10 months of waiting, my Maverick finally arrived at Brandon Ford. While reviewing the numbers with salesperson Ricardo Liburd, I see "Predelivery Service Fees" of more than $1,300 on the contract. I showed him the email from Jim Gordon stating there are no markups. After discussing with him and sales manager Brooksye Hall, I decided I would purchase the Maverick at the marked up price and handle it after the sale. I am in the process of filing a small claims case against Brandon Ford. ** In my lawsuit, I am not arguing about the ridiculous fees. I am arguing that a representative of Brandon Ford stated that I will pay MSRP without any markups. However, other consumes should be aware that just because it is pre-printed on a contract does NOT mean a fee cannot be removed. Autolist.com says "Predelivery Service Fees" are for preparing a vehicle for leaving the lot - checking the tires and fluids, fueling the car, removing the shipping stickers and protective coverings, and giving the vehicle a quick wash. Does it really cost $1,295 to do that work? Why does Brandon Ford charge a fee for Title/Registration plus ANOTHER fee for "Electronic Registration Filing" plus ANOTHER fee for "Title and Documentary Handling"? More

I am pleased to say Brandon Ford was THE BEST dealership to work with hands down. We drove nearly five hours to purchase our new 2017 Ford Mustang GT Premium (our sixth Ford vehicle). Initially I thought there is no way a dealership could be as fabulous as the reviews indicated. However, the entire process from the initial call to arriving the next day was seamless, professional and very warm. Our salesman, Jim Gordon, and the sales manager Bob Mulroy, lived up to the glowing reviews and then some. They were honest, transparent, worked hard for our deal, and have an incredible inventory of Ford vehicles on site. We received a significant discount as they are a high volume dealer with down home service. Any vehicle color or trim level you want to see is certainly on their lot. This makes for a cool vehicle buying experience! There was no pressure, there was simply pride in exceptionally crafted American vehicles. They believe in their products and their work proves their commitment. We left grateful, proud of our new vehicle, and a long-time friend of Brandon Ford's. Otis Colbert sales manager is the best! My wife and I were in on Sunday, September 18th. It was a very busy day in the sales department. All the sales consultants were busy with clients but My wife and I were in on Sunday, September 18th. It was a very busy day in the sales department. All the sales consultants were busy with clients but Otis Colbert the sales manager made sure that we were taken care of. He personally took the time to give us some numbers that we could try and work with, while still handling many clients and sales consultants with their clients. After we left on Sunday, it was no doubt that out of all the salesman and sales Managers from many dealerships from Naples to Tampa, Otis and his staff are by far the most courteous and respectful that you can find on this coast. After looking for the right vehicle for over 5 weeks and to be honest I had enough of dealership sales staff. It wasn't just that their numbers were better then their competitors but most importantly we didn't once feel like we were slime balled into buying a vehicle. We bought a super nice truck yesterday and we will 100% be back to hopefully buy another vehicle in the near future and then another one for my youngest son.
