Buyers Beware I assume most car buying experiences start great, and if there's a problem, it goes downhill from there. My recent experiences -- yes, there have been I assume most car buying experiences start great, and if there's a problem, it goes downhill from there. My recent experiences -- yes, there have been multiple of them -- with Landmark Ford went from bad to worse. The first one began with the attempted purchase of a 2020 Transit 350. We had purchased the 2018 at an out-of-state dealer that was able to custom outfit the rig for our specialized needs because Landmark could not source a local company to provide the buildout. It was the high roof version, since our employees stand inside to do their work. Landmark really wanted our local business, so once we had the 2018, we sent pictures to the sales person, we drove the vehicle to the dealership so that they could take pictures and prepare for when we needed our second unit for a fast-growing enterprise. We drove the van once again to the dealership so that the outfitting company they sourced locally and the sales person could walk through, do measurements, take more pictures. This, so that when we were ready to pull the trigger on our second unit, everyone was on the same page and the process could be turnkey. Fast forward to November 2019, and we place our order. Then we wait, and wait, and wait. Finally, late February 2020 comes, and the new Transit is delivered to the local outfitter. Problem is, it's not the high ceiling unit. Sure, you could stand up in it... if you were 4' 9" tall once the buildout was complete. So, by that point, the sales person has "left" the dealership, they rescind the deal and say "you're on your own" to find the proper replacement. Within 24 hours I am on a plane to the Los Angeles area to pick up the right rig. Four days and $5,000+ in California sales tax and travel expenses later, the correct van is back in Portland. Landmark Ford's assistance with the added costs and hassle? Zero. Oh, and it gets even better. Part of my purchase package was a 2020 Ford Escape to be custom branded as an advertising vehicle. The day I picked it up from the graphics installer, there was a horrible screeching sound in the front end. Something about the frame needing proper installation. They just called today to say the car was ready for pickup... 30 days later. I spoke directly to the dealership principal today, and there was not even an apology... he could have cared less. This was my first experience with Landmark Ford... looks like I'll be finding another Ford dealer for future purchases and service. More

Did Not Do Requested Work And Charged Me Took my car to landmark Ford on 8/16 for a basic oil change. Got it back and inspected it. The first thing that stood out was that a bunch of oil drip Took my car to landmark Ford on 8/16 for a basic oil change. Got it back and inspected it. The first thing that stood out was that a bunch of oil drippings were not cleaned off of my plastic radiator cover. After further investigating, I found that the oil filter hadn't been change. It was pretty noticeable that it still had a bunch of road grime on it from in between oil changes and not just greasy hand prints from an employee changing the oil. So, finally I checked the oil and guess what....It was dirty. Keep in mind that I only live a few miles from the dealership and my oil has been meticulously changed since I've owned it and it has never been dirty looking after driving a few miles. So, they either did not change the oil and filter or they just changed the oil and didn't change the filter. Not sure and don't care. The same day, I called and left a message with the service manager and general manager. Guess what... Neither of them called me back. I took pictures and have a good witness. I am never doing business with them ever again. My recommendation is always inspect your car. More

Doesn't understand Customer Service I recently bought a fully loaded 2012 F350 $64K sticker from Landmark. They were "ok". They certainly aren't putting any special effort into customer I recently bought a fully loaded 2012 F350 $64K sticker from Landmark. They were "ok". They certainly aren't putting any special effort into customer service. I can't say they did anything wrong, other than it took 3 attempts for them to get the paperwork right. I was, however, disappointed with the service. If I'm spending that kind of money on a truck (and I'm repeat customer), you would think they would make some effort to meet or exceed my expectations. Yesterday I bought a slightly used Mercedes from Wilsonville Toyota. Wow! What a difference. Didn't cost me nearly as much, but these guys are out to earn your business. We had a slight problem transferring my veteran license plates. They apparently needed them physically there. "Not to worry", I'm told. "We'll just do the paperwork here and I (the salesman) can follow you home to do the plate transfer". Talk about exceeding expectations. Nothing was every a problem and they really did everything possible to ensure we were more than satisfied. Just wish I could buy my next Ford from them. I've also used service at Landmark. Again, they are okay, but IMHO they give you the easy answer to get you out the door. Only a few times have I felt they really made an effort to take care of me and my vehicle. Jared in service is the best! If you are going to use them, I would recommend Jared. Update: The truck broke down on the interstate with my 10-year-old daughter. I called Landmark. Their response: What do you want us to do about it? When I asked for some assistance they said they could look up the number of a tow truck company for me. I ended up calling one myself. This dealership just doesn't get it. Were it mine, the answer would have been: "Please let me know where you are so we can get some help out to you ASAP. We'll get you towed in and in a rental as quick as possible". Unfortunately, Landmark doesn't seem to know how to do that. More
