Will, We appreciate your review and can assure you that no one here is a criminal, nor was there any intent to steal your car. We called you to explain what happened, but you haven’t returned our call. The following describes what took place. The vehicle was towed in at night, and the keys were dropped in the early bird box, but the early bird envelope did not have your contact information or instructions on what service was needed. When we searched the vehicle, the registration had your wife’s name, but the BMW system had Sixt Rental as the owner. I called Sixt rental and asked what the vehicle needed. They stated that a customer had dropped it off and they would send a transport to pick it up. When you called to check on your vehicle status, we were able to retrieve your contact info and called your wife when the vehicle was complete. Unfortunately, at that time, I was out of town and did not know about your phone call, so I did not make the call to Sixt Rental to stop the arrival of the transport. About ten minutes before she arrived, the transport from Sixt rental brought us the title information, listing them as owner, and a hold harmless statement to pick the vehicle up. When your wife arrived to pick up the vehicle, the service advisor saw what was happening and stopped the transport. We called Sixt rental to straighten everything out and had to go way up the supervisory chain to verify it was no longer their vehicle and that they were mistaken. The vehicle was sold to a party in Orlando and then sold to you. The history report was never changed in BMW from Sixt rental because a BMW dealership did not sell it. Sixt Rental had a certificate of title showing they were the vehicle owners, which needed to be updated, but they were finally able to verify they were no longer the owners after we contacted a knowledgeable supervisor. Unfortunately, the perfect storm. Never anything intentional. After talking to your wife, we noticed one of the reviews you posted was removed, and we thank you for that. Unfortunately, there are still some reviews that remain active. If you would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to return our call. Sincerely, Joe Gruen, Service Director
