I purchased my Honda Accord brand new in 2018.

The technician Jason informed me that it would be $250 to do a diagnosis on my vehicle. Lugo, the service technician determined that my head gaskets were blown and sent me a video. Jason called me and informed me that unfortunately this was the worst case scenario and it would cost $6800 to have my head gaskets replaced. Jason said “ Most people trade in and purchase a new car when this happens”I informed Jason that I could not afford $6800 right now or want to buy a new Accord. Later that night, the sales department called me and texted me trying to sell me a new car. The next day I had my car towed to a family mechanic where they did a thorough diagnostic and determined there was nothing wrong with my head gaskets and all I needed was spark plugs. I called Honda and spoke to the manager Jennifer and told her what happened and she said she would refund my $250 diagnostic fee if I came in and had them look at the car again. I agreed as long as I could watch the process in person. Jennifer had the lead technician do another diagnostic on my car and it was determined that in fact, there wasn’t anything wrong with my head gaskets. So basically Honda tried to steal $6,800 from me. The only thing Jennifer offered me for loss of work, loss of sleep, anxiety, tow trucks was an apology. I am sure This Honda dealership does this all the time. Scares people and to Paying for services they do not need and or purchasing new vehicles. Please be aware!

After reviewing your case, we’d like to clarify that our goal is always to provide the best possible service and accurate diagnostics. We take situations like yours seriously and have ensured that additional steps are taken to prevent similar issues moving forward. We’re glad that you were able to have the issue resolved with your family mechanic and that the necessary repairs were much less extensive than initially anticipated.
We also understand that the situation caused you undue stress, and we’ve refunded your diagnostic fee as promised. Additionally, we refunded the cost of your tow from the shop where the spark plugs were replaced as compensation for your time and inconvenience.
While you were in to recheck with our Service Manager and Shop Foreman, we examined the vehicle to check for coolant leaks. After thoroughly inspecting the cylinder head walls, we did not find any coolant present at that time. Coolant leaks may occur only under certain conditions, such as when the engine is under specific pressure or temperature. It’s possible that a minor leak had been occurring, but since the spark plugs had been replaced, the conditions necessary for the leak to manifest (like engine heat or pressure) did not occur during the follow-up inspection. As a result, coolant wasn’t visible, even if it had been present earlier.

I just got back from a mini vacation and drove my Honda from Tampa to Georgia and back. No issues. Even if my heads needed to be replaced, which they never did. Honda wanted to charge me 6,800 for a repair that Other Mechanics charge at the most 3,500. I also wasn’t Compensated for the tow truck or my inconvenience. That is incorrect. I will not bring my Car back to your dealership and will spread the word to watch out for Brandon Honda.
I brought my vehicle for an oil change, tire rotation,
and induction service. I had an appointment and at check-in was told that it would take approximately 3 hours. It was six hours later when my car was

It had not been washed but I was happy to get on my way. Immediately after pulling out onto 60 the rear end began violently shaking. I immediately returned to the dealership, told them what was happening, and they took it back into the service bay. Approximately 20 minutes later they pulled it back around and when I asked what happened they explained that one of the wheels had not been correctly mounted, leading to the imbalance.
I'm going to take my vehicle (and the other Honda in our house) to a different dealer moving forward and I am going to get my car inspected to see if any damage was done. Correctly putting wheels back on vehicles feels like a basic part of the job.
