I purchased a used Grand Cherokee on 9/5/22, and on 9/6/22 the infotainment screen went up. I took it back and was told the unit had to be replaced. The service department Had my car for 2 weeks putting in the new screen. I used the Jeep all winter long with no problem, in June of 23 I turned on the A/C and it made a loud hissing noise. In July I took the Jeep into the service department to see what was wrong. Let’s just say the Service department is the worst. I was told so many different stories from James over a period of a month and a half that it made me confused. It cost me $473.00 for them to tell me they added Freon and did a leak test. I got in my Jeep and turned on the a/c and it still made the loud hissing noise. I walked back into the service department and told James the hissing was still there. He told me to drive it for 2 weeks and he would make an appointment to test it again for leaks? ( I paid $473.00 for a leak test) I drove it for 2 weeks and the a/c did the same thing. I took it in after the 2 weeks for them to test the a/c and an oil change. I waited 3 1/2 hours and was told my Jeep was ready. I asked what was wrong with the a/c, and was told I’m sorry we never got a chance to look at the a/c we just changed your oil. I was told I would need to make an appointment and leave my Jeep so they could check it out. I dropped off my Jeep and asked for a loaner, because my extended warranty allows for one. I was told by James that he could not give me one because he was not sure it would be covered. I waited for 3 days ( no call from James) I called them and was told that they found a leak in the condenser and they would have to remove the dash to replace it. I asked about the loaner car and was told oh we don’t know how long it will take to get in the part and you only get 5 days on loaner. I was told the part would be in over the weekend. (It was not) I called back on Monday and was told the part could be in but James was not sure, he would check and get back to me. I asked about the loaner car and was told not yet! I was done at this point, so I called the warranty company and talked to them about my claim, and was told the dealership should have called them about the delay with the part because they would give 10 days with the loaner. The person from the warranty company said he would call James. He called back and said: oh they have the part and a loaner car for you to get today. I waited for a call from James which I never got; so I called him and was told come get the loaner car. I went to get the loaner and ask how long it would take to have the work done. I was told not sure. They had my Jeep 12 more days with excuses why it was taking so long. I called James and he told me my Jeep was done come pick it up. I turned in the loaner and waited for my Jeep. It pulled up I got the keys and started it up and turned on the a/c and the hissing was as loud as before nothing had changed. I walked in and ask James what was going on because the hissing was still there. He walked out to the jeep and said ( oh, but the a/c is cold) Once again he told me to drive it for awhile and see what happens. I left the dealership and traded the Jeep in 3 days later for a car. I did this because I never wanted to deal with Don White’s ever again. I have purchased over 50 cars in my lifetime and dealt with a lot of dealerships, and Don White’s is the worst of them all. What ever you do think long and hard before purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. More
