The BMW dealership where I purchased a car stands out as the most disappointing experience I have ever encountered. The lack of integrity in their actions and their use of deceptive sales tactics became evi the most disappointing experience I have ever encountered. The lack of integrity in their actions and their use of deceptive sales tactics became evident from the outset. It all began with my interest in a 2020 BMW 440I for my daughter. Despite being more than 3.5 hours away from the dealership, I expressed genuine interest in viewing the car and potentially making a purchase. However, my enthusiasm was met with skepticism as I was informed that a down payment was necessary to secure the vehicle, even without having seen it in person. I was assured that the car was in impeccable condition and that it had undergone thorough inspection by their staff. When I inquired about my eligibility for promotional discounts totaling $2,000 from BMW corporate, specifically the $1,000 recent graduate offer, the salesman promised to provide the necessary information promptly. Unfortunately, this assurance was not fulfilled, and despite my efforts to follow up, I was left without the details I needed. As I embarked on my journey towards the dealership, the salesman informed me that the car did not qualify for any discounts as it was not a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle, contrary to what was advertised on their website. Upon inspecting the vehicle in person, I discovered several flaws, including dents, a tear in the leather seat, and a protruding tire fender, none of which had been disclosed prior to my visit. Displeased with the lack of transparency and feeling misled, I raised my concerns with the salesman and requested compensation for these issues and the loss of incentives due to the CPO discrepancy. After deliberation with the manager, a partial reduction in the sales price was offered, accompanied by assurances related to repairs and missing key. During the financing process, I encountered further obstacles as promised compensations did not materialize. Exhausted and disheartened, I reluctantly signed the contract with the hope that the verbal commitments made would be honored. However, subsequent communication failures and unmet promises continued to bog down the post-sales experience. The dealership's inability to find the missing key, refusal to reimburse for repairs, and overall lack of accountability led me to contemplate canceling the sale. Despite my attempts to rectify the situation and express my dissatisfaction, the response from the sales manager was unsatisfactory, cementing my belief that the entire interaction was a bait-and-switch tactic. Subsequent interactions with the dealership's management proved unfruitful, with the lack of follow-through on verbal assurances compounding my dissatisfaction. Despite lodging a complaint with BMW North America Corporation, the absence of a response further underscored the dealership's poor customer service. As a long-time BMW customer with multiple prior purchases, my experience with San Louis Obispo BMW stands out as the worst encounter to date, characterized by unfulfilled promises and a lack of transparency throughout the sales process. I caution others against engaging with this dealership based on my regrettable experience. More

Overall good dealership just consistent problem with communication and execution. That is pretty much been the only thing consistent over the mini mini years of BMW. Like a communication/execution. Pre-Covid. I would set foot in BMW Slo. I would rather drive to Santa Maria. The last few years has shown some improvement but much more is needed. More

On a road trip and ran into a problem on a Saturday afternoon at 1:00. Call SLO BMW and spoke to Rick. He assured me I could drive the 30 miles safely and they would look at my car. He had the techn afternoon at 1:00. Call SLO BMW and spoke to Rick. He assured me I could drive the 30 miles safely and they would look at my car. He had the technician look at the problem, twice, as I thought he may have missed a little hidden leak. Three hours later on a Saturday, I received the good news that all was fine and I was back on the road. Rick, was upbeat and calm, he made what could have been a disaster into a pleasant afternoon.
