Can’t overstate how disappointed I am with Nissan Of Clearwater. On November 13th I came to Nissan Of Clearwater to test drive a Pre-owned F150 hybrid. I’d been saving for a new truck for a very long t Clearwater. On November 13th I came to Nissan Of Clearwater to test drive a Pre-owned F150 hybrid. I’d been saving for a new truck for a very long time and this was the truck I wanted. My sales associate said the truck had belonged to his father and he seemed very nice. The truck was priced at $34,700. So I asked what the final price would be after tax and Brandon, (the manager I think) said he could do $39,500. I was a bit surprised because I had received a much better price on a similar truck at another dealership. He said the reason it was that price was due to the (free) powertrain warranty, plus tax, registration, and dealership fee. I agreed to the price and then he pushed the paper work over to be signed and the price had changed to 44,100. When I told him that wasn’t what we agreed on he said that was the cost of the warranty. I told him I wouldn’t pay more than the 39,500 we’d agreed on so he said he’d have to subtract the warranty. I was confused. I left there feeling tricked and cheated. Then I got halfway home and discovered the horn wouldn’t work. I looked under the hood and the cover over the area the horns live had clearly been removed and was missing most of the plastic rivets that hold it down. Clearly someone knew the horn didn’t work and didn’t manage to fix it. I was furious and sad. This was supposed to be a very exciting moment that I’d been saving for. The next day I got an email from my sales associate asking about my experience. I told him my story and he urged me to bring it back and they’d fix the horn and he’d write up the warranty paperwork that I had coming to me. Feeling better.. I dropped off the truck on Saturday the 15th of November. They had the truck all that week and the next. I called a few times and they said the horns were replaced and that didn’t fix it so they were going to replace them with new horns. Then a few days later I called and they said that didn’t fix it and they needed more time. A few more days I called again and they said they think it’s the clockspring and will take a few more days. I called a few days later and they said they cant program the parts and it needs to go to a ford dealership to be properly installed but they’d give me a loaner vehicle to drive in the meantime. I picked up the loaner on Saturday the 29th of November and they said the truck still had not been taken to the ford dealer. I texted on Thursday Dec 4th and was told by the sales associate that the truck WAS at the ford dealership now and he’d let me know when he knew anything. Feeling impatient, I texted him again on Friday and he still had no info but said the service director was going to call me. He didn’t, so I called the service department at 5 on Friday. They said the truck was still at the Nissan dealership but the parts had finally arrived but it still needed to go to the ford dealership to be fixed. So today it has been three weeks. I still don’t really know what’s going on. It’s hard for me to believe that no one knew the horn didn’t work if the truck belonged to a family member and it feels like no one will give me a straight answer. It also seems weird that the service department is so uncommunicative. They've never called me once in three weeks. Really disappointed but thankful they gave me a loaner.. Hope this improves soon. More
