Excellent experience at Findlay Jeep: Traveled 180 miles to check out a used Cherokee Trailhawk. Worked with Brittany Jackson who was very helpful, personable & professional and not pushy at all. Was treated with respect and the whole purchase process flowed smoothly. The Jeep was in better-than-expected condition. I would recommend this dealer to other potential customers. IMPORTANT UPDATE ... PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BUYING FROM FINDLAY: Almost right after I wrote this review, I discovered an engine oil leak and per the mechanic I've used for years, it was more-than-likely leaking before I bought the Jeep. My only point of contact was my salesperson, Brittany Jackson. It took 3 emails, 2 texts and 7 days for her to even respond to me ... and then she still didn't give me the info I asked for (GM's & service mgr's names). So she ended up being the typical used car salesman who have terrible post-sales follow-up, especially when it comes to a customer issue. The sales mgr then contacted me via email but the email address he used was invalid, so I wasted another week trying to reach him. Next, I called into Findlay and got Jenny, the office mgr, who was actually helpful. She gave me the email address of Jeff Cole, the GM, who apologized and offered me a $200 goodwill check which I accepted. However, the engine repair cost me $450. ALSO, Findlay will not accept deposits to hold vehicles. I traveled 180 miles to check out this Jeep. My plan was to put a deposit down, then return within a week to pay the balance in cash & take the Jeep home. So I didn't bring $14,000 with me on my first visit ... I had money for a sufficient down payment. When I sat down w/Brittany, I was informed they do not take deposits. Their solution: finance the vehicle and close the sale, so someone else can't buy the Jeep before I'm able to return within the week. I wanted the Jeep, so I took their option and paid off the loan within a few days. However with doing this, there was a $190 loan origination fee that basically increased the price of the Jeep ... and of course, it was NOT pointed out by Brittany as she was trying to close the sale. STAY AWAY. they sold me an $8k Piece of junk. It did not even last the night. I had to have towed. When they finally did answer the manager said that it is as is and our problem to deal with. the thing brok even last the night. I had to have towed. When they finally did answer the manager said that it is as is and our problem to deal with. the thing broke down literally first time we drove it from lot, that night. they Refused to make it right. They are greedy and unethical as a business not the type of business you want to do business with. They will do whatever they need to to get your money, including selling you junk and they don't care if you get stranded or worry about the mechanical state of their vehicles. Run, just Run. There are many other dealerships in Findlay. Find one with some Ethics and pride/confidence in what they sell. Update: I need to clarify, the review is a testimony aimed at the dealership and management. The sales person received 5 stars because she went above and beyond. The management was simply deceiving and and unethical. The business itself misleading sold a vehicle with major mechanical issues, deceiving buyer and still refused as of today to make it right . If I could leave 0 stars I would. This dealership is the least professional establishment I have ever attempted to do business with. I picked out a car online, called to get a price quote (I’m out of st least professional establishment I have ever attempted to do business with. I picked out a car online, called to get a price quote (I’m out of state), got my quote from a sales rep, and while I’m trying to finalize paperwork, they claim an error in their website pricing, so it’s going to be another 3k added to the price I was previously given the same day. On a 33k vehicle, you would think any business worth their name would eat that loss with a customer finalizing paperwork, but not this place. Luckily I am pretty far from this dealership so I won’t have to do any business with them, but if you’re local I would steer clear of this place as they will be likely to scam you as you sign paperwork too. More
