After having inquired, driven, and met with a salesperson Ibrahim on Feb. 18th about a vehicle. I made an appointment for the following day to complete paperwork for the vehicle. Paperwork which he began the Ibrahim on Feb. 18th about a vehicle. I made an appointment for the following day to complete paperwork for the vehicle. Paperwork which he began the day of the visit hoping to have me sign off on a credit inquiry for which I made it clear I wanted to wait until we close the deal and additional services I did not want. But I let him give his pitch and repeatedly informed salesperson I didn't need the hard sale pitch from him or him manager Luis whom he brought into the deal conversation. I was committed to return and seal the deal. The following day while getting ready to go down to Golf Mill Ford for the close, I received a phone call about an emergency situation with my daughter for which I had to rush to the emergency room. En-route to hospital I cancelled all of my appointments for the day, including that at Golf Mill Ford with salesperson Ibrahim. He seemed to understand and we settled rather quickly on that I would get back to him to reschedule. Fine right? Not with Gold Mill Ford. Roughly an hour after our rushed phone rescheduling conversation and while I was in emergency room this salesperson called to request a Deposit of said vehicle so I would not lose it. He was very aware of the reason for rescheduling and that it was an ER emergency, yet HE STILL had the b**ls to call me in a time that I was under EXTREME DURESS and request to solicit money from me for a stinking used car. While I was on the call on speaker my sister looked at me at if this salesman was out of his mind. This salesman did this KNOWING FULL WELL the situation he was interrupting to collect money, as if I was going to whip out my credit card while in ER to give him money. I let him have it verbally and informed him I would be, when possible, contacting the GM. I did just that. He then referred me to the same manager Luis who he brought into the deal and who IS NOT the GM whom I requested to contact. I refused to contact this Luis person. When I contacted Golf Mill Ford and individual texted me back requesting I reach out to service rep even though I requested to be connected to the GM or receive their email or contact. This unknown rep of Golf Mill Ford could not be bothered to give me that information and instead end thanked me "for sharing my concerns" and discontinued assisting me with my grievance. Not only is salespersons attempt to solicit monies from someone under extreme emotional duress morally reprehensible, it is completely unethical and likely very illegal and likely against state Dealer/Remitter licensing Rules. Hence the reason have reached out to the Illinois Sec of State. and will see this grievance through. Be very vary of these salespeople and their managers who will do anything it takes to get you to sign away your hard earned money even if it means going to fully morally reprehensible route. More
