I’ve been a loyal customer of Star Hyundai for nearly 19 years, but my most recent experience has been very disappointing. I brought my 2025 Palisade in for scheduled maintenance. Tire rotation is part o years, but my most recent experience has been very disappointing. I brought my 2025 Palisade in for scheduled maintenance. Tire rotation is part of Hyundai’s recommended service plan, but it was not performed. I confirmed this because I had previously marked both front tires with a small paint pen dot. The dots remained in their original positions on the front tires when I checked before leaving. When I questioned the service, the technician first told Sandra, the Service Advisor, that he “forgot,” then changed his explanation to say he “got busy” and didn’t return to complete the rotation. I also have wheel locks with a unique key/socket size. Last time I had service done, I was told the shop had the correct tool and didn’t need my key, yet the technician ultimately had to use mine. This leads me to believe a rotation was not performed then. Additionally, the technician seemed frustrated and noticeably over-tightened the lug nuts with the air gun—far more force than necessary. He finished with a torque wrench which, of course, did "pop" indicating the torque was sufficient; however, over tightened lug nuts will cause the torque wrench to pop immediately since they likely exceeded the recommended torque. I heard Sandra inform Eric, the Service Manager, with whom I’ve worked for the same 19 years about the ignored tire rotation. Unfortunately, he showed no concern, offered no apology, and has become noticeably distant and stand-offish compared to his previous friendly, customer-focused approach. It’s troubling that required maintenance was skipped, especially when incomplete service on my part could potentially void warranty coverage. After almost two decades of loyalty, I expected better attention to detail and genuine care for long-term customers. More

The Star Hyundai dealership in Abilene, TX is very clean, organized, and welcoming to customers.
