Robert McCain was the sale manager at the time, also a native of South Carolina, which is where I'm from. Gian Marco was my sales rep and he was not even close to knowledgeable. Not sure if it was a language barrier or just not passionate about his work, he didn't even show me the features of the vehicle, which is required by law, a sales rep Ben ended up showing me all my feature before and after purchase. First red flag. Second red flag: Jim in finance misspelled my name (even though he had my driver's license sitting right in front of him) which caused Chase Auto Loans to have 2 separate yet merged accounts in my name that resulted in late fees (although I called Chase at week 2,3&4 to get a head start on my loan payments). Jim did rectify my misspelled name and my late fees were dropped. In the state of South Carolina, a vehicle is a person's property and taxes must be paid yearly in order for registration to be issued. unlike NYS where yearly inspections occur. My property taxes didn't expire until May 2023, SCDMV allowed for my taxes to "rollover" to my new vehicle. Lexus of Manhattan did not understand how this process works although I explained this the Marco and again, Robert is a SC native. I sent the paperwork that I received from SCDMV to Robert 12/1/22 (which he told me to at time of purchase) however i didn't hear anything back for 10 business days. I called him personally and he informed that he was no longer employed there. Someone should have communicated that to me being that 10 business days were wasted. 12/15 i called Giam to inform him that i sent him the DMV paperwork via email and he asked me to come to the dealership the next day to hand it in also. 12/16/22 I arrived at Lexus of Manhattan where Steven spoke with me. I expressed my concerns about my temporary plate expiring that day and he said, and I quote "it'll be fine. Even if the cops pull you over. Just explain the situation and you'll be fine". I trusted him and his expertise so I left (this was the day Jim fixed my Chase account also). 12/30 Danny Leach, the GM, reaches out to me about the paperwork. I emailed it back to him exactly 49 minutes later with no response, 3rd and 4th red flag. 1/6/23 I get pulled over and the cop tells me that my car is yet to be registered and that my vehicle must be towed. I called the dealership while the cop was present and spoke with Nicholas Hernandez and he ultimately told me the wrong Paperwork was turned in. NO ONE from the dealership called me and told me this. Although I showed up to the dealership and called numerous of times for Check ins. SCDMV told me it wasn't necessary to purchase new taxes as it can be rolled over. The tow costed me 350$ + 45$ for Uber there and back. I flew down to SC DMV and spoke with the same representative from before and she informed me that no title was processed from the dealership so she couldn't help me, allthough i went to the treasurer office right before and ultimately got new taxes created to prevent more hassle. I called Chase and they couldn't help me either bc a title was not processed from the dealership. I was stuck! Nick received the new paperwork from me 1/6 via text and told me I'd have plates by Monday 1/9. Tuesday comes around and nothing. At this time. I am Ubering to/from work which is ~50$ round trip and my brand new car is parked because I can't drive it because the dealership isn't advocating for me, isn't doing their job. Tuesday, 1/24/23 my plates finally come. More than 60 days later, my plates are here. Nick promised me for compensation, which they did pay for the tow, but that's it. The Ubers on the tow day or even the Uber for the 2 weeks without a vehicle was never compensated. I feel lied to, unheard, and like a piece a trash. That once Giam, Robert and the rest of them got my signature, that was it, i was thrown to the waste side. And that not how this works. I can't wait deal with a Lexus dealership at home, where I am treated like a person and not just a number for commission More

He really helped with the decision making process by showing me what every option/feature i considered looked and felt like. Rich in finance was very friendly and thorough with the contracts & options as well & hooked me up with the tire & rim insurance. Overall best auto purchase experience I’ve ever had. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a Lexus to take a trip down to Lexus of Manhattan. Beautiful store & amazing staff. More
