An anxious, cynic customer who had an amazing experience I am the type of person who doesn't like shopping for anything, let alone a major purchase like an automobile. As well, this was not a planned purchas I am the type of person who doesn't like shopping for anything, let alone a major purchase like an automobile. As well, this was not a planned purchase or something I was looking forward to. But it was time after another car finally bit the dust. I had a great experience with this very same dealership over 10 years ago, and had always regretted giving up a Subaru years ago. I am scared to death of the "numbers game", the "wheeling and dealing" and the "haggling" car dealerships are notorious for - part of the business I acknowledge. After going through the usual haggling (on both my end and my wonderful, highly patient, highly personable salesperson, Frederick Bodtman IV), I feared I was at the end of the road, and nothing could be done to meet my financial needs. It is no secret Subaru is a top rated auto manufacturer and they do not need to offer rebates. Eric Cenname, the sales manager,also joined in assisting us. For starters, he too was very personable, and extremely patient working with my requests. Eventually it was perceived by me, that I would be unable to come to terms, and unable to successfully make a purchase. I shook hands with both Frederick and Eric, and thanked them profusely, and let them know I needed to think things through, and hopefully at some point return to their dealership. I felt defeated, but in no way unhappy with them. For someone who took up much of their time, and then walked out the door I was treated extremely well. But not even an hour later, Eric contacted me to let me know he wanted to work out a deal still to get me a vehicle. I was beyond impressed, and returned soon after. To make a too long story short here, I ended up driving home in a new Subaru. I must point out that individuals like Frederick Bodtman IV and Eric Cenname are the reason I rushed right back to Pine Belt Subaru that day. I did not know a customer could have a positive experience like this with sales people in the highly complicated auto dealership business.I highly recommend all choosing Pine Belt for your Subaru. The company ought to know there Pine Belt dealership in Lakewood, NJ goes out of their way to make everyone possible a Subaru customer. Thank-you again to everyone that day at Pine Belt that made it a happy ending. More

I'm happy I made my purchase here I've purchased 4 Subarus over the last 20 years, and this is the second time I've purchased a Subaru here, my first one 20 years ago. A lot of salesp I've purchased 4 Subarus over the last 20 years, and this is the second time I've purchased a Subaru here, my first one 20 years ago. A lot of salespeople are especially nice when you go to purchase a car, so you kind of expect that, and you usually get a feeling being in a place about how you feel bout doing business there. The thing I remembered about my first purchase here was how quickly the sale went (I do my internet pricing, etc..), and how great my service appointments went. I should have bought the next 2 Subarus here, but I bought closer to home. My service was never as good. My salesperson Fred was honest, caring, and very detail oriented, and I'll add HONEST. The manager Joe made me feel important as a customer, most managers do, but I feel like he means it, and he was very straight forward as well. The other manager Eric sent me a video text message before my initial appointment welcoming me and telling me they'd be ready for me with my car to test drive when I arrived later that day. NO HIGH PRESSURE to make the sale like some other places where I might usually just walk out during the negotiations. My family owns a number of Subaru vehicles, and I'm going to steer them to Pine Belt when it comes time to upgrade their cars. More

We especially liked the no pressure attitude from the sales staff. Our daughter who leased a Outback recommended this dealership and we were glad she did. The fact that we traveled from North Jersey to this particular dealer speaks for itself. A truly professional group of people. More

Fine experience We called a few days ahead of time and set up an appointment. Got to the dealership on time, and were warmly greeted by Joe Silva and Eric Cenname wh We called a few days ahead of time and set up an appointment. Got to the dealership on time, and were warmly greeted by Joe Silva and Eric Cenname who introduced us to our salesman Fred Bodtmann. Fred offered coffee and...which we declined and got right down to business. We wanted a Forrester and told Fred price would be the determining factor, which he happily accepted. He quickly got us behind the wheel of a 2018 for a road test, fielded all our questions the best he could and, whatever he didn't know, he got Joe or Eric involved. When we made the deal, Fred took the bull by the horns and processed all the paperwork in an effort to complete the deal and get us on the road in our new rig as quickly as possible. He did this instead of having us wait for the finance manager; who was very busy that day. We are now the proud owners of a 2018 Forrester. I am a retired salesman, and can tell you these people are a professional sales team. They are very much aware that they are asking me as a potential client to spend a goodly amount of money on one of their goods, and they wanted us to be happy with our selection. We had fun throughout the entire process. Pine Belt Subaru is a great place to buy a car. More

Great experience I took my mother in law to buy her first new car. She wanted to compare the Forrester to the Honda CRV. We went Ro Suburu first. We met Fred and he showed us what she was looking for . The whole experience was not your typical car salesman place. He was super knowledgeable. One of the reasons we abandoned the Honda deAlership was the people. S Fred asked questions and found her exactly what she wanted. We dos not have that experience at the other dealership. Totally recommend! More

I started asking questions on the internet and set up an appointment so they new I was coming. I had dealt with another Subaru dealer in the past and decided not to return and give Pine Belt Subaru my business. Fred was great and couldn't be more helpful with the entire process and our needs on getting an Outback. Just in light conversation he had mentioned he was off the next day, we felt terrible he had to come in due to our new Outback just came in and was wrapped in plastic and wasn't going to be ready. Fred never questioned it for a minute, that was his job. I hope Fred will be there in three years when its time for my next Subaru. All the staff we encountered were great and we will be recommending Pine Belt Subaru to everyone! Thanks again Fred! See you at my 30 day check up. Teri & Mark More
