We recently acquired an older, very low milage Kia Soul. The car had tires, brakes, fluids, filters and battery replaced due to age and all within the past 30 days and not at Kia of Wesley Chapel. We brought the car to Kia of Wesley Chapel for a recall. Our service manager, Manny, called to inform us that the battery was so old that it could fail at any time, the filters were so dirty they needed immediate attention and hinted at a laundry list of "old" parts that needed to be replaced due to the age of the car. Of course, none of this was true. When he was confronted he became very defensive. He rambled about cameras to prove what he was saying and waived his cell phone in front of me as if it had some important information...which I was never actually shown. It's very unfortunate that Kia dealers are still acting in this manner today. In the past, Kia was known as a "down-brand" product. Dealers easily took advantage of customers who may not have had the resources of higher end buyers. Now, Kia manufactures some great products, but the dealers seem to be stuck in the same mindset... upsell and take advantage. There are many Kia dealers in the Tampa Bay area. As with everything, I would assume some are better than others and I would highly recommend you search out one of the others before deciding to trust your vehicle and money with Kia of Wesley Chapel.
