I purchased a 2024 Ford F-150 Platinum remotely from Elmhurst Ford because I live in San Diego. Before the purchase, the salesman sent me videos and represented the truck as being in “like-new” and exce Elmhurst Ford because I live in San Diego. Before the purchase, the salesman sent me videos and represented the truck as being in “like-new” and excellent condition. Unfortunately, the vehicle delivered to me was anything but. After receiving it, I discovered evidence of significant previous rear damage and poorly completed bodywork. The rear quarter panel and tailgate had paint-quality and color-matching issues, the tailgate made an extremely loud popping sound when closing, and the truck had dents and cigarette burns in the sunshade. None of these problems were properly disclosed or visible in the videos I received. I knew the suspension had been lowered and purchased the truck intending to replace the suspension immediately. However, the gear shifter and linkage were also malfunctioning. Elmhurst Ford told me that problem would go away after correcting the suspension. It did not, and I was left with an approximately $1,500 repair bill. The truck was nowhere close to the “like-new” condition represented to me. Had I been given an honest and complete description of its condition, I would not have purchased it under the same terms. Elmhurst Ford provided no meaningful assistance after the sale. I have worked in the automotive industry for more than 30 years, and I find the way this transaction was handled completely unacceptable. I strongly caution anyone considering an out-of-state purchase from Elmhurst Ford. Hire an independent inspector, obtain every representation in writing, and do not rely solely on the dealership’s videos or description. Based on my experience, I would not trust this dealership or purchase another vehicle from them. More

The General Manager was rude and unprofessional. We accepted but were upfront that we were not planning to purchase a vehicle that day. The salesman was very friendly, professional, and respectful. However, the General Manager repeatedly tried to pressure us into buying a vehicle and made us wait an hour for a quote we never requested, all while withholding our keys. Total, it took nearly three hours to receive a trade-in value for our vehicle. In the end, he said that we were just here to waste their time. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I would not recommend this dealership. I have already shared my experience with all my friends and family. More

I highly recommend them; the staff is very friendly and respectful. For me, everything was excellent—the only downside was that they give me the car with an empty gas tank. respectful. For me, everything was excellent—the only downside was that they give me the car with an empty gas tank. More
