Pick up the phone! !!! I called the Buford location to talk to service to see when my truck would be ready at 9am. The Peachtree location picked up, took a message. “Som !!! I called the Buford location to talk to service to see when my truck would be ready at 9am. The Peachtree location picked up, took a message. “Someone will call you right back” 11am, no call, so I call the Buford location again. The Marietta location picks up, takes a message and says”someone will call you right back”. 1PM no call back, so I call Buford location agian, the peachtree location picks up the call , transfers me to the Marietta location, my tuck is at the Buford location. Leave a message again. 2PM call Buford store again. The Peachtree location. They transfer me to the Buford location, but can’t get the service department to answer the phone. They ask if I would like to leave a message, and I said no, I would like to talk to the service manager. “He is not available, would you like to leave Message.” Sure 3PM no call back, call the buford location. Peachtree location picks up again. “Oh hi sir, yes I think I have talked to you before, would you like to leave a message?”…. WHY WHEN I CALL BUFORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT, CAN I NOT GET ANYONE FROM THE BUFORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT DURING THE WHOLE DAY. Almost missed my daughter’s award night, because people can’t pick up the phone. I AM NOT SURE HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. INCASE ANYONE ACTUALLY READS THIS FROM BUFORD GMC, YOU CAN GO BACK AND LISTEN TO EVERY CALL, YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE RECORDING THEM FOR QUALITY PURPOSES. OH AND ANOTHER THING!! The phone connection transferring me from Peachtree to Marietta, to Buford needs some work! You can only hear static on the phone. Ed did apologize for the “inconvenience”, but not sure if any of it was his fault. More

Ed Barnes was the gentleman who was forced to assist me with my car issues. My vehicle was purchased with extended warranty back in 2020. I had a couple leaks going on so I took it to Jim Ellis Buick GMC M with my car issues. My vehicle was purchased with extended warranty back in 2020. I had a couple leaks going on so I took it to Jim Ellis Buick GMC Mall of GA for further assistance. The first time I went to drop off my vehicle, it seemed like I was inconveniencing Mr. Barnes. No customer service skills whatsoever. I didn't really care bc I just wanted to get my car fixed and covered through the extended warranty I purchased from them. When I called two days later asking if my vehicle was ready, bc I hadn’t heard back from anyone re an expected date or time it’d be ready, he seemed bothered that I was calling for MY vehicle. He said it’d be ready that day but PM. I decided to let my in laws pick it up since they’re 30 minutes away and I’m 1hr and 20 out. I was told I’d only be charged the $100 deductible that warranty requires. The day my in laws picked up the vehicle, Mr. Barnes calls me shortly after stating he had accidentally charged the card the full $1,200+ for the job(s) instead of the $100 deductible only!!! That seemed to be the only time he seemed to care about his customer service skills. I was lucky enough to obtain the card information quickly so it could be credited back to the original card. He was apologetic about it bc he knew it had been his mistake. If you guys are going to offer extended warranty at the time of purchase of a vehicle, let the service advisors know they should treat those customers the same as they do with out of pocket paying customers. At the end of the day, we’re still paying customers, just at the beginning of purchasing the vehicle instead of at the time of a mechanical issue where they can stack on services and labor fees. I am glad I purchased the extended warranty. I just wish it would’ve been at a different dealership where they don’t treat extended warranty customers different from out of pocket paying customers. That’s all, just ask your service advisors to show a bit more customer service skills. More
