The people we spoke with and worked with were great people, but we were told conflicting information about payment options from two different managers, and overall our visits / the process seemed to ta people, but we were told conflicting information about payment options from two different managers, and overall our visits / the process seemed to take a long time. They do not take cashiers checks from outside lenders, with the exception of two local credit unions (I think it was two). The used vehicle we purchased had a strong perfume odor in it. One person said they couldn't smell it, which is odd, and we were not given a potential source or cause of the odor, whether the previous owner wore too much perfume, or spilled perfume, or whether perfume could have been used to mask the smell of smoke by the previous owner before being traded in. We just wanted to learn more from their detail team so we could address the odor directly. The smell was not enough of a deterrent for us as the vehicle was what we wanted, so we just accepted it. When we went to pickup the vehicle we were told it was detailed, but it did not appear to be detailed. There was a smear of some kind on one of the interior arm rests that we noticed when we test drove the vehicle, which was still present when we picked up the vehicle. We could also swipe our fingers throughout the vehicle and see light dust on our fingers, so it seemed obvious to use that it was not cleaned. Either it wasn't detailed at all, or they did a poor job. We pointed this out and they did end up giving us a free detail coupon. Lastly, we received what seemed to be a personal message from the general manager, Mr. Lima, but it was obviously an automated message. In the message it said "Please feel free to contact me directly if anything about the purchase was unsatisfactory." so we reached out to him about these topics, with two follow-ups, and never heard back. Not that Lexus of Sarasota is a bad dealership, we just did not have a 5 star experience. I answered a "No" on "would we recommend" because our questions were left unanswered. We would probably still buy from them again if they had a vehicle we wanted. I wanted to give 5 star ratings to two of the other people we worked with (one a sales manager, one a finance manager) but for some reason they are not listed. More

Ana and everyone we worked with surpassed all of our expectations. Ana was quick to answer all questions, do research for us, find exactly what I wanted, etc- she did not hesitate to do everything in he expectations. Austin needs to learn more about the vehicles he sells: he told us the RX350 we bought did NOT have a garage door opener even though it was listed as having that feature on the dealership’s website. We ha he told us the RX350 we bought did NOT have a garage door opener even though it was listed as having that feature on the dealership’s website. We had a 30 minute discussion about this and Austin was adamant that this car did NOT have the garage door opener, he could NOT install one on the car, and he refused to adjust the price for this feature NOT being one the car. However, Jaden the Technology Expert told us it DID have the garage door opener and he showed us where it is located on the car; Jaden was correct and we programmed the car to open our garage door. Jordan (the deal closer) didn’t ask us for any money to pay for the car —- we had to TELL him that we had not paid for the car. We could have walked right out the door and not paid a dime — but after we told Austin and Jordan we had NOT paid for the car, they produced the final accounting sheet and we wrote the check for the car. Amazing. Jaden was very patient, and he was an excellent teacher. GIVE HIM A RAISE.!! More

Austen told us the car did NOT have a universal garage door opener - even though the specs for this car on the dealership website clearly stated the car DID have it. We asked for one to be installed door opener - even though the specs for this car on the dealership website clearly stated the car DID have it. We asked for one to be installed or to have the price adjusted for the car NOT having it; Austen refused both requests. We bought the car anyway and when we got home we discovered the car DID indeed have a garage door opener and we have used it many times since then. Austen needs to learn more about the product he is selling. More
