Communication skills Made an online inquiry about a vehichle, michelle then transferred it to deric. Told him i had a new car i wanted to trade in and gave him information on trade in. He then scheduled an appointment for me to check out the vehicle because i was VERY interested in it. Show up early to my appointment and deric was not there, which made me very upset because the car also wasnt there. I was never told about being ble to place a hold on the vehicle and because of his poor communication skills the car was sold before i got there that day, which also leads me to believe he left early so he wouldnt have to speak with me and have an upset customer in their lobby. I passed up 2 other vehicles for this one and i am still highly upset. I will NOT be recommending deric or this deaership to anyone. Communication is key and they are definitely lacking in that department. More

Horrible. I spoke to Deric on Monday, and agreed to come in on Friday to have my car appraised and look at a new vehicle, which I told him via email. Once I arr I spoke to Deric on Monday, and agreed to come in on Friday to have my car appraised and look at a new vehicle, which I told him via email. Once I arrive at the dealership the first thing out of his mouth is "Are you hear for the old stick shift corolla with a high amount of miles for 1K?". That should have been an indication to just go ahead and leave. After my appraisal is done Deric comes back with a low blow number, so I told him thanks and have a good day. His response "So, are we done now?" my reply is yes, and that I would like my keys. So he gets them and comes back offering $2500 more then initially. I agree to fill out a credit application at this point, once finished he takes it drops it off somewhere and comes back and says ok. Pretty much telling me to leave and perhaps he'd call at some time in the near future. I wait around until Saturday afternoon to hear anything, after I had emailed him around ten. Once he finally answered me he said "oh it'll probably be Monday". Monday comes around and again no answer or any communication. He evidently neglected to remember that I had already had the money to purchase a new car but was hoping to finance so that I could build my credit either way I was buying a car. Apparently he didn't want to work with me which is fine, because the same Monday I drove to Cumberland Toyota and purchased the same brand new car I was planning to buy in Knoxville in less then two hours. So what one person isn't willing to do another person always will. The way I was treated really doesn't make good business. I came back yesterday to speak with a sales manager just to bring attention to the matter. More

Jason Carson and Deric Landon showed us vehicles, took every detail we wanted into consideration and found EXACTLY what we wanted and the price we needed. An outstanding, easy, friendly experience and we will NEVER purchase from anyone other than Jason and the Toyota of Knoxville staff!!! 5 stars all around and we truly feel like we made life friends!
