Just like everything else with this dealership, I had to jump through so many hoops just to be able to write this review. I can only assume they don’t expect positive reviews, so they make the barrier for e jump through so many hoops just to be able to write this review. I purchased a car from Mark Kia and, unfortunately, it broke down just five days after I drove it off the lot. That’s frustrating enough, but the way the dealership handled (or rather, mishandled) the situation has been the real disappointment. After the car was towed back to the dealership, communication from Mark Kia was nonexistent. I had to beg just to get a loaner vehicle while they waited weeks to even diagnose the issue. Any updates I received were only because I called them — and every time I did, I was told “I’ll look into it and call you back” … but the promised call rarely, if ever, came. I was eventually directed to the manager, Lucas, after struggling to get answers from anyone else. His online bio proudly says he’s passionate about helping others, making people smile, and leaving situations better than he found them — yet my experience with him was the complete opposite. He promised he’d get to the bottom of the issue and guaranteed a call back by the end of the day. Instead, it took a full week. I was consistently treated like I was an inconvenience and that the car’s issues were somehow my problem to solve. When I asked about options, Lucas immediately shifted into salesman mode, trying to get me into a brand-new car with “the same payment” — no, thanks. Once they determined the battery needed replacing, they pushed the problem over to Chapman Hyundai, and within minutes I was suddenly being harassed to return the loaner car. After ignoring me for three weeks, Lucas was now calling and texting, demanding the car back the same day — before I’d even been briefed by Hyundai on the next steps. I asked Lucas about the other issues we’d discussed with the vehicle, and after three emails, a text, and multiple voicemails, I still haven’t received a response. I would never work with this dealership again. On top of that, I’m now locked into a service contract that requires me to have certain services done at this exact dealership. I’m dreading it so much that I’m currently trying to cancel the contract altogether, but I haven’t been able to get a response about that either. On a positive note: Chapman Hyundai, where the car was ultimately sent, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Amanda in their service department was kind, responsive, and within minutes of our first conversation, sent me a link to a portal showing the real-time status of my car — something Mark Kia never offered. Every interaction I’ve had at Chapman has been professional, efficient, and helpful. If you’re shopping for a car, I strongly recommend walking past Mark Kia and heading straight across the street to Chapman Hyundai. They’ve shown me what real customer service looks like. More

I’ve been sitting on this for quite awhile. Needless to say, I’m not impressed by this dealership. Me and my wife drove up from Tucson to test drive a few cars. Right away we were asked if we Needless to say, I’m not impressed by this dealership. Me and my wife drove up from Tucson to test drive a few cars. Right away we were asked if we wouldn’t mind stopping on our test drive and putting fuel in the car. I thought that was tacky as xxxx, but we did it. We put in $20 and never got it back. We came back later and reluctantly purchased a car. We were told that several things on the car were included in the price only to have that contradicted in by the finance manager. However, we pushed on anyway. They delivered the car with about a 1/4 tank of gas. Seriously? You can’t even fill up the car for delivery? On the way back to Tucson two things happened. First the low pressure light came on for the front left tire. Turns out there was a nail in the tire. Second, a warning comes on the dash saying to add coolant immediately. WTH?! This tells me that the car was never inspected. Later, I go back to the dealership for a “courtesy” oil change. This time, I have a nail in the left rear tire (my fault). As soon as I arrive I asked the service person if the dealer can patch tires? She said “absolutely”, it will add to your wait but we’ll take care of it. I go in the waiting area and about 25 minutes later I’m told the car is ready to roll. Wow! That was really quick I thought. Right away the service provider said that there was no nail. She said the tire was taken off and inspected and nothing was found. So, the service tech put air in the tire and said you’re good to go. On the drive to New Mexico where I work, the tire goes completely flat. Well, what do you know? There’s a bigass nail in the tire right where I said it was. I’ve been inconvenienced by this dealership more than once. Do they care? Obviously not. I will never go there again for anything. I this is a harsh review, but I sold cars for many years and I always went above and beyond for my customers. I wish this dealership would have done the same for me. More

On Sept. 5th I stopped at Mark Kia to check out the new K4 which had just come in the previous day. Wasn't planning on buying that day, but I am compulsive. Anyway DeMarko was great throughout the entire sales process. Professional, polite, enformative & overall very helpful. No pressure or misinformation. Darren was also great. Actually all the associates I dealt with at the dealership were exceptional. Thanks DeMarko & I highly recommend Mark Kia. More
