Dear ranger16: We are very disappointed to read your review because there seems to be a difference in the facts that you stated. It is not disputed that you personally inspected the BMW and you agreed to the purchase it in its current condition of the BMW. Nothing was mentioned regarding any issues with the windshield, the driver’s door or the deck lid/trunk. Further, as part of our process prior to shipping vehicles out-of-state, we carefully look over the vehicle and make sure that photos by the transport company are taken of the vehicle’s current condition prior to shipment. This is to help resolve potential claims of damage in the transporting of the vehicle. In your case, there were 97 photos taken of the BMW at the time the vehicle was loaded for shipment. An extremely small ding was noted on the driver’s door (normally a $50 to $100 paintless door ding repair vs the near $2,000 estimate you provided) prior to shipment. One would reasonably think that if there was a door ding so large as to require a $2,000 repair, most certainly you and CBB’s representative would have seen it during the visual inspection. It would have also been noted in the photos taken prior to shipment. Yet, there was no noting of such a large door ding in the inspection or the photos. Further, there were absolutely no issues seen or noted with either the windshield or the deck lid/ trunk. When the vehicle arrived in Illinois, an additional 82 photos were taken by the shipper. Again, those photos did not reveal any issues with the windshield or the deck lid/trunk. Our General Sales Manager rightfully offered to pay what he thought was an extremely minor door ding repair but was shocked at the ridiculous near $2,000 repair estimate. The other requested repairs were neither noticed in your inspection and were not noted by the transport both to, and after, shipment to Illinois. Dear Pokec588: For clarity, this dispute concerns a 25 year old BMW that this customer from CBB for $19,500. The claims that CBB deliberately severed the safety system of the vehicle is completely without merit because it is not based on the facts. The CarFax History Report notes that ABS control module was repaired another auto dealership in May, 2026, for the prior owner of the BMW. These repairs were NOT made by CBB. They were made BEFORE CBB even acquired the BMW. After CBB purchased the BMW from a different dealership, CBB performed its own visual multi-point inspection and was not aware of any issues related to the braking system, with the ABS light or traction light. Further, no issues arose with those items at any time that the BMW was at CBB. As part of its full transparency, CBB provided its inspection records to this customer prior to sale. Shortly after the vehicle was shipped to the customer, he noted that the check engine light came on and took it to a local shop to be inspected. The local shop diagnosed and repaired a few separate items in which CBB agreed to pay the $825.00 bill. Soon thereafter, the customer expressed further dissatisfaction and distrust of the BMW at which time CBB offered to rescind the transaction and refund the customer his money. Inexplicably, the customer declined CBB’s offer, instead seeking more monies for additional alleged repairs. Sincerely, Jack Schneider, Owner

Jack Schneider’s public response contains documented misrepresentations regarding the vehicle's history and my requests for a resolution. 1. The "Repaired" Module Lie: The franchise service records from May 2026 do NOT state the ABS module was "repaired." The official records explicitly document that the DSC unit was a tampered "customer supplied part" and the system had failed. CBB is falsely framing a documented failure of a glued-together safety device as a legitimate repair to cover for their failed multi-point inspection. 2. The Dashboard Lights Lie: CBB claims no warning lights were on while they had the car. This is factually false. The independent transport driver documented that the Check Engine and DSC (Traction) lights were already illuminated at the exact moment the vehicle was picked up directly from CBB’s lot. CBB knowingly handed over a car with active safety warnings. 3. The "Seeking More Monies" Lie: Stating I am "seeking more monies" is a deliberate mischaracterization. I have stated explicitly in writing that I do not want a single dollar sent to me. My only demand was for CBB to authorize direct payment to a certified, independent repair shop to fix the severed safety system they failed to disclose. I declined the buyback because returning the car simply allows CBB to reclaim the physical evidence of this extreme safety hazard and quietly sweep it under the rug. A reputable dealer would pay a licensed shop to make a dangerously tampered safety system operational; CBB chose to deny accountability instead.
