Visited this dealership a few days ago to look at a used $40k vehicle. The sales guy, David Domanski, didn't seem very familiar with the Audi brand, the vehicle, the options, etc. We asked if it had CarPlay $40k vehicle. The sales guy, David Domanski, didn't seem very familiar with the Audi brand, the vehicle, the options, etc. We asked if it had CarPlay and he didn't know. We took a 15 minute test drive. He didn't show us any features of the vehicle, just asked how it drove. He told us nothing about the vehicle but he told us 10 times that he owns a Porsche Macan GTS. He told us the vehicle underwent a 150 point inspection, the same inspection they would do if they were certifying a newer vehicle. It turned out that he lied. They just did a simple safety inspection that involved brakes, brake pads, tires, battery, fluids and air filters. He offered to take it to a body shop of my choice for an inspection, which I appreciated. But when I told him that I also wanted it inspected at a local Audi dealer, a full inspection at my expense (about $550) he said that it wasn't possible, the car had to stay within 5 miles of the dealership. I suggested that he take it to the body shop and I would meet him there and then his dealership could do a complete inspection at my expense. He kept insisting that a full inspection was done. He asked " what else needs to be inspected?". I told him there was a lot more involved in an inspection than brakes, battery, air filters, and fluids. I sent him a copy of a used car inspection report that Audi dealerships use, which is much more comprehensive and they check over everything including suspension, electrical, different driving modes, all options, such as night vision, etc. Overall, he seemed like a decent guy but rather clueless and pushy (after we got back from the test drive he asked "So are you paying cash or financing? ") Also, I don't like being lied to. Why wouldn't they do a full inspection at my expense unless they're hiding something? My guess is something is wrong with the vehicle and I dodged a bullet! I made it perfectly clear that if the vehicle checked out I was going to purchase it. I left a message for the used car manager, Jeff. I'll be very surprised if he returns my call. More
