Coverup, deceitful, arrogant, lack of integrity, lack of honesty...etc. I could go on but these are just a few words I can use to desvribe my experience with BOARDMAN TOYOTA. Ill be fair here and 100% hones honesty...etc. I could go on but these are just a few words I can use to desvribe my experience with BOARDMAN TOYOTA. Ill be fair here and 100% honest!! Salesperson was great, finance manager was also good experience but when I discovered a few days after buying my CPO Tundra, that it had been severe structural damage, they simply denied it and chalked it up to “oh well”. Again, to be fair Ill explain in detail. Prior to buying I saw a showroom photo of truck with a very noticeable black scuff on rear drivers side. I made a point to write this down to look at when i took my 7 hr trip from nys to ohio to buy. Day i arrived it was torrential downpour so I quickly looked for this mark in person and saw nothing there. (A closer look would have saved me ago y because there indeed was a crease that was hard to see with water beaded up on area) Few days after buying I noticed this large crease in rear of truck by bumper. I had no prob getting this crease fixed on my own dime. I didnt expect a cpo (certified pre-owned) vehicle to be flawless. However, the day of my dent repair appt, the owner of shop pointer out to me the ACTUAL damage present. Im ashamed I did not see this while still not having signed papers because i would have driven 7 hours home without taking ownership. The entire rear portion of truck was pushed into the wrap around section or end of bumper! Not a small deal here. The dent repair guy showed me other locations where the damage was obvious if looked for. But I didnt look because I was under the belief that CPO meant it was inspected thoroughly. Heres where the story gets worse: for BOARDMAN. That scuff mark in photos was not present at time I picked up truck. The rep there who dealt with my complaint (SAMANTHA) pulled up this photo and acknowledged the scuff mark present but insisted that it would not have affected its being eligible as a CPO tagged vehicle. And I would also agree. Its a cosmetic blemish. And as I said earlier, I was at the debt repair shop to fix this on my own dime. Now that this structural damage was exposed, I expect to be compensated. Not oy did this dealership paint over that black scuff, they slso did one of 2 things: Hid the deeper structural damage or never officially gave the vehicle the said CPO evaluation that Toyota intends a vehicle to have to be called such. Im very disappointed in myself for trusting something that now appears to be in name alone (CPO). Im upset that a dealer would go to such lengths to cover up such damage then tag it as a CPO and depending on how toyota handles this case, im not sure if Ill trust buying another used toyota again. More

My wife and I set a time to come into the dealership and was met by Dave our salesman and the sales manager John Mitsos. Both of these gentleman have made our experience a relaxed and smooth transition into our new RAV 4. We believe that or trade was given a good price and the deal on the new car was up front with NO hidden costs. This the second car I have bought/leased from there, and plan to keep doing business with Toyota of Boardman in the future.. I have been to other dealers in the Valley, and they have always given us a song and dance routine,or played the numbers game, which brought us to where we are now.. Thanks Dave and Big J.... More

Poor Customer Service!!! I am amazed this dealer has a 4.9 star overall rating. I've never had a worse experience buying a vehicle, and I've purchased a lot, currently own 4 a I am amazed this dealer has a 4.9 star overall rating. I've never had a worse experience buying a vehicle, and I've purchased a lot, currently own 4 and a travel trailer!! Not only was the salesman, Dave Hogue (Internet Sales Mgr...Mgr??!!!), blunt & a complete jerk to my husband but also to the credit union loan officer who we know very well. She's never in all her years dealt with someone like this. Dave even made a snide remark about her calling his cell phone which was the only contact my husband had with him, then when asked if there was a better number he said 'no' and was only concerned with how quick he could get a wire of the $. This is NOT a matter of us not having credit, ability to get a loan, or getting off work (as indicated about other buyers) to drive 6 hrs from out of state for a unique vehicle model we're looking to purchase... It is a matter of poor customer service & their conceitedness that some innocent consumer will pay more than book value for the vehicle, which i'm not willing to do for a company that won't work with us $.01 on their side and their customer service is awful!! I spoke to Stephanie, Sales Mgr, which I generally don't go to that step but felt someone should and hopefully would want to know...again lacking customer service only to attempt to understand why her salesman might have come off as a complete jerk. She was nice & did listen to understand our situation but I wish they'd just post no out of state sales and we won't work with anyone on their website to save our valuable time as honest consumers. Good luck on that sale & I hope the customer that isn't wise enough to get their own financing doesn't get taken advantage of! More

The best sales person is always the one who can adapt their sales style to the buying style of the customer. My wife and I are quite different. I am direct and to the point, focused on the bottom line and best deal. My wife is looking for something safe, comfortable, and has the right features. I hate being pressured or having all the usual sales person tricks played on me, I know them too. I must say that is the least enjoyable thing about buying a new car...the games you have to play. This was not the case with Preston and Dave Hogue. I started on the internet and moved to looking at a car then coming in and test driving. From there it was about lease vs buy, etc. Throughout the whole process Dave seemed to be listening to our needs and not just trying to "sell" us on something. It really made the difference for me and I purchased a vehicle even sooner than I was planning to. Good job Dave. We ended up doing the lease on a new 2017 as it made more sense to our needs. The person who did the contracts for them (I believe Erica) was also very good. I asked a lot of questions about the numbers and she was patient and explained all the information to my satisfaction. Again good job. This is the first time I have bought from Preston and if their service and continued support are anything like the sales experience I will be buying many more from them. Great job and I am not the type to write these reviews. In fact, it's the first one I ever did for a salesperson. But I thought it was warranted in this case because sometimes you see something really good that needs recognized. More
