Be aware of Casey Toyota Williamsburg. Worse experience from any dealer in 30 years! I purchased a used vehicle there and the sales person was good overall. The vehicle however, was not re Worse experience from any dealer in 30 years! I purchased a used vehicle there and the sales person was good overall. The vehicle however, was not ready to be taken home. Three days later they called me saying it was ready. I drove the car down the road and discovered multiple system were not working. Took the vehicle back and they found it needed a new accessory battery. Also, the AC compressor makes a loud hissing noise when turned on. They said its no problem. They also said the excessive water leak under the vehicle is normal for a Jeep. Additionally, the other significant issue was with the finance manager. After informing him that I was not interested in any extended warranties, he added one into my contract anyway. Didn't even explain the additional cost and no paperwork to review. I was a handed a thumb drive instead. When I got home, struggled to find my old laptop that had a USB thumb drive reader and discovered an extra $3400 cost added to my contract. I then called the finance manager back asking him to remove it from my contract. He promised it was not a problem to cancel the extended warranty and asked me to sign and email back the cancellation form and that I would get a refund in 4-6 weeks. Short story...it has been almost 9 weeks later and I still don't have this resolved. I called him back multiple times, no answered, I called Sales Manager and he said he has nothing to do with it but would make finance manager call me back. After 7 weeks, finance manager finally called back and said he didn't understand why I hadn't received a refund. He promised he would email warranty company at that moment and that I will be included in the email. Another week past and he did not call me back or send any emails. I ended up calling the warranty company myself and after more than 1.5 hours waiting they finally said no one from the dealer has ever submitted any cancellation paperwork. I then called the dealer to attempt to reach the finance manager again but I was told he wasn't available. Again, almost 9 weeks later and no resolution. The warranty company said most of the times, dealers delay cancelling in order to collect on their commission for selling these warranties. That would make sense now why they haven't take care of this. However, it is dishonest to add an unwanted warranty into a vehicle sales contract, it is dishonest to say it will be canceled, but not doing anything. It is dishonest to tell me on the phone that it was canceled when in reality it was not. I will never buy from this dealer again. I also called their GM and still awaiting a phone call back. More

I'm very disappointed to say we were taken advantage of by Danny Lopez. We expressed that we were NOT interested in GAP insurance to both our salesman and to Danny. Danny let us know that GAP was in the co by Danny Lopez. We expressed that we were NOT interested in GAP insurance to both our salesman and to Danny. Danny let us know that GAP was in the contract and I let him know we did not want it. At no point did we hear anything about our GAP insurance options, maintenance options, etc. like we typically would when signing for a new car. He proceeded to tell us that it could be canceled after 90 days after we expressed that we did not want or need GAP. I called Wells Fargo, our lender, to confirm that GAP was indeed required and that I could not cancel it for 90 days. The agent at Wells Fargo let me know that there was $1200 worth of GAP insurance added to the loan and that it was definitely not a requirement nor would be there a 90-day waiting period before canceling. We ended up having to contact our salesman who was able to get us the refund paperwork for the GAP insurance since I no longer wanted to speak or work with Danny due to his untruthfulness in the matter. Sure enough, the refund paperwork had the box marked "changed mind." I absolutely did not change my mind - I had made it very clear from the beginning that we were not interested. Incredibly disappointed that someone in Casey's finance department would take advantage of clients for their own personal gain. It was not a misunderstanding - it was outright dishonesty that could have cost us an additional $1200 had I not called Wells Fargo. Don't let a friendly facade fool you. I can only assume many others have been taken advantage of as well. More

Throughout our most recent transaction with Casey Toyota – we have now purchased or leased three cars from the dealership with Lisa DeVore as our salesperson – Lisa once again proved herself to be both know – we have now purchased or leased three cars from the dealership with Lisa DeVore as our salesperson – Lisa once again proved herself to be both knowledgeable about the Toyota product line and easy to work with. Her consultative and no-pressure approach to the car buying process makes it easy to see how, in her first full year with the dealership, she achieved Salesperson of the Month three times, won the used car sales award three times, and exceeded the standard for President’s Club recognition by nearly 20 percent. The objective for the most recent purchase was to secure a commuter vehicle that, for a budget price, would provide superior performance (as measured by MPG), outstanding safety, and extreme reliability. Lisa DeVore’s recommendation of a 2021 Corolla Hybrid met all the criteria. In fact, while Toyota estimates combined MPG at 52, the vehicle has significantly outperformed that benchmark. Having driven it for about a month now – and having put nearly 3,800 miles on it – I enjoy an overall average in excess of 62 MPG. Safety features were also a consideration in this purchase. In particular, the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert was an important consideration for me, so it is worth mentioning that New Car Sales Manager Howard McCoy worked tirelessly to locate a 2021 Corolla Hybrid with that feature despite it being somewhat rare in Eastern VA. The financing piece also went smoothly with the assistance of Finance Manager Danny Lopez Aguilera.
