Dealer mistakes. Management not fixing its problems. October 10th 2018 Yesterday, I wrote that Elder. "..offered me a truck for $2,306 more than their quote and to deliver it four months late. Then October 10th 2018 Yesterday, I wrote that Elder. "..offered me a truck for $2,306 more than their quote and to deliver it four months late. Then they offered a truck that didn't match the features I required and didn't offer to add those features at their cost. In other words; pay more, get less, and get it months late." Elder replied... "...I may not be able to change the past but, if you give us a chance, I’ll make it up to you. General Manager Dan Sills" I am open (and have been open) to giving Elder Ford a chance. I would be happy to purchase a truck with the features we originally agreed to and at the cost we originally agreed to. But Elder Ford management declined this request two days ago. Instead, Elder Ford offered a truck that meets my specs for $2,306 more, or a truck that doesn't meet my specs. ==================================== On July 6, 2018 I signed a buyers order with Elder Ford for a Transit cutaway. Vehicle delivery was estimated to be 6-8 weeks. I requested order status updates from Elder on July 19, August 10, August 29, September 14, September 17 and September 26. Only on October 1st did I learn that my order had been suspended due to errors by Elder Ford. How did Elder Ford offer a fix? Would they offer a similar truck for a similar price? No. They offered me a truck for $2,306 more than their quote and to deliver it four months late. Then they offered a truck that didn't match the features I required and didn't offer to add those features at their cost. In other words; pay more, get less, and get it months late. The result was that my business schedule was thrown way off. It has also resulted in additional costs and scheduling headaches for me and a contractor I hired for a customized interior. More

DON’T USE THEM! It’s gonna be your worst nightmare! Hate to be a buzzkill, but i want to do a PSA for all the fellow truck lovers out there. I was one of those idiots who got excited about the Shelby F1 Hate to be a buzzkill, but i want to do a PSA for all the fellow truck lovers out there. I was one of those idiots who got excited about the Shelby F150. But soon realized that after you’re done saying wow, get ready to say ‘hi AAA, my truck wont drive’. Had mine for 3 weeks and 913miles until the entire transmission took a xxxx, and it sat in maintenance for 2-1/2 months. And once your truck goes into maintenance, be prepared to get handed an ‘engine break in’ agreement, which you’re forced to sign to have the maintenance done; which says you’ll void your warranty if you go over 4,000 rpm during first 2,000 miles. Oh, and you pay over $106,000.00 for fake ceramic brake ‘plastic covers’. Carroll Shelby is rolling over in his grave right now about this embarrassing ‘high performance’ truck. Also he’d fire his own employees for how they handle your ‘customer service’, or complete lack thereof. Be prepared to call Elder Ford, Shelby, and Tuscany, and listen to them all argue about how its not their responsibility. And if you call Shelby directly they wont even speak to you, it’s a total nightmare and embarrassment; except the joke is on you, the customer. Elder Ford has been my worst experience of all. Initially ordered and delivered the wrong truck, then the wrong color, and had to wait 3 months until I finally got it. No 3 weeks after driving it, just issues and lawsuits. Had to file suit with a lemon law specialist, after Elder Ford wont return my calls. Stay away from them!!!! Beware! We have been trying to get an SUV and the opportunity to change our car was today. The manager promised us we would be out of there with no down payment due today and a with a brand new SUV! Got a new Escape! I paid off my 2014 Fiesta recently. That being said, I’d wanted to make sure I found a good place to trade it in, but still be able to find a vehicle and salespeople who were reasonable. I didn’t want to go back to a Ford dealership here in St. Pete, but I’d heard good things about Elder Ford and decided to give them a shot. I was really rewarded for this decision! I got a great trade-in value on my Fiesta and the GM, Dan Sills, made sure that I was comfortable throughout the deal and he had me work with some great people (Damian really knew his stuff and went out of his way to help me)! Even the Finance Department, which most people hate at any dealership, went smoother than expected! I never felt at all like I was just a number with the people at Elder Ford and now I have a great Ford Escape! Thank you for the wonderful experience. More
