Took my car to Lakeland Toyota today and discovered that the 2025 Toyota Corollla I bought in August from Wesley Chapel had been in a wreck after the mechanic inspected it. I asked how that could possibly be since we had only had the car since August and we hadn’t been in a wreck. He told me that they would have to pull all the panels to inspect the total damage but the car had definitely been in a fender bender. They looked up the history of the car and the “brand new” Corolla we bought had come into Wesley Chapel Toyota in February 2024. When we were shown it on the lot in August, we were told that it had sat in their lot for months with the intention of making it a courtesy car but they “forgot” about it so it just collected dust and they were willing to give us a good deal. I am appalled that we were sold a car that obviously had damage and was passed off as new. More
