I took my High Country in for it's first oil change, primarily because they said they would do it for free. Took about an hour and a half, as I had called it in prior to me getting there. Lo and behold, they put the sticker up saying it would be due again in 5000 more miles, but they never even changed the oil. It's still the same oil it had when I bought the truck in January. xxx... BUYER BEWARE the vehicle engine went out after only 4 months! Caused EXTREME mental and financial anguish. Yes they can say “as is” but the manager Mr Troutman never did return my call tho I asked severa months! Caused EXTREME mental and financial anguish. Yes they can say “as is” but the manager Mr Troutman never did return my call tho I asked several times. When they made us a “discount “ to fix it for 8,500 DOLLARS, it sat there for a week with absolutely no movement towards repair. Oscar said, “I don’t think they’ve even found an engine yet” Found?? Is it a scavenger hunt?? We took it to a wonderful mechanic who had it completed in 6 days for two thousand three hundred dollars LESS. Nevertheless the sucker punch remains. We paid 18000 dollars for a vehicle with 118k miles which engine blew in 4 months. No way out and can’t refinance that hefty interest rate because it’s age- but they knew that at the time of sale. In 38 years of car ownership nothing has sucker punched like this. More
