I recently purchased a used vehicle from EchoPark Auto Dallas. My wife and I live in the San Antonio area so a lot of the early communication was done via phone. I am giving a 2 star review and have listed the pros and cons below. All said and done, this could have easily been a 5 star review for the dealership had they followed through with promises made over the phone. Cons - At times, I had difficulty getting ahold of the proper sales associate. The associate would have a day off and fail to tell me, then I would receive no response to my texts/calls - We are financing a small portion of our purchase. EchoPark will only work with credit unions if they will cut a cashiers check upfront.... in other words, more than likely you will have to utilize their bank network for financing which means they control everything. - I was promised a specific interest rate by one of the sales associates (Mo). Upon arriving, after putting down a $500 (non refundable) deposit and booking a flight and Uber ($260) into the dealership to purchase the vehicle and drive home, I was told I was getting a rate that was a full point (1%) higher than originally promised to me. I was livid. They had me there hook, line, and sinker after spending my own money on a deposit and travel. They gave me no other options... it was either walk away and eat the cost of travel and deposit, or move forward with their inflated rate. Ultimately I decided it did not make sense to walk away and purchased the vehicle. - Overall, bad business practices by the dealership and associates. I felt lied to and that they did what they needed to do in order to get the sale, then switch things up on me at the last minute after I had financially committed. Pros - solid pricing on solid vehicles. We are very happy with our vehicle so far and were also happy with the sales price (why we chose to fly to Dallas to purchase). - Paul, the sales manager that had to get involved, was very apologetic, transparent, and nice. Although he did not resolve the issue and make it right, he was pleasant to work with. More

Honestly, I hesitated to leave any stars due to the poor experience we are enduring. Christy Banks, our salesperson, neglected to disclose crucial details about the return policy, leaving us unprepared and frustrated. Subsequent inspections revealed an oil leak, noisy CV axles, and undisclosed issues with suspension control arms. Communication with Echopark of Dallas has been ongoing for three days without a satisfactory resolution, and the lack of proactive involvement from management adds to the frustration. We spent the entire day at the Echopark Houston Texas location, where we were informed that nothing could be done until Dallas Texas corresponded back. Melissa, from the GLC department at the Houston Texas location, mentioned we are essentially sitting ducks, and I refused to wait, especially after already being approved for the car and putting down our payment. We expected a car that didn't require repairs days after our purchase date. However, the GM, Christy Rogers, has not personally reached out to us directly to assure us that this concern is being addressed. This lack of communication is incredibly frustrating. This unfortunate experience has not only disrupted birthday plans but also left us emotionally and financially affected. A fair and compassionate resolution is yet to be achieved. They sell lots of cars, really, really, really, really, really, really slowly. I mean zero concern for time, they've got nowhere to go but the next customer.
