We took our jeep grand Cherokee into the shop to have an oil change and tires rotated as well as checking all the fluids for an upcoming trip. While on our trip our engine overheated and discovered that the oil change and tires rotated as well as checking all the fluids for an upcoming trip. While on our trip our engine overheated and discovered that there was no coolant in the reservoir. This should have been checked and topped off. It was completely dry. There is a slight staining around the reservoir from coolant in the past so it looks like it may be full however the reservoir should have been shaken to make sure it was full or take the cap off to look. Just makes us wonder how many times prior to this was our coolant not checked appropriately. We are very unhappy about this but fortunately my husband was able to avoid a major cost and damage to our engine. Especially being 1500 miles away. More
