Another good experience with Clinton Honda This was our second time purchasing a car from this dealer and once again we were pleased with the way it went. We were especially pleased with our sa This was our second time purchasing a car from this dealer and once again we were pleased with the way it went. We were especially pleased with our salesman Chris Stanzione. From the start I got a good vide from him. He never gave any "salesman talk" and seem to tell it like it is from the beginning. I could tell he was a seasoned salesman and that he recognized when a buyer had done some of their homework. In the end, I think we arrived at a fair price without a lot of nonsense. I was a bit concerned that they didn't have the exact car we wanted, but Chris was true to his word and got the car to the dealer within a few days after we had finalized the price. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with this dealer. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the experience with the F&I guy. This is where you sign all the paperwork after they try to sell you all this stuff you don't need. I understand every dealer has this process, but I wish dealers could find a way for buyers to blow by this process. I was tempted to cut him off in the beginning, but figured I would let him do his job. His personality was a bit dry and I guess it's always awkward when the buyer doesn't bite on any of the useless extras they try to sell (ex. mystery treatment for windshield). I remember them trying to sell this with our first purchase back in 2012. I swear the treatment looked like mud water. I guess they get some takers which is why they still try to push this stuff. My personal belief about extended warranties, is that the dealer is making a bet that any repairs will not out weigh the cost of the extended warranty. You can bet the dealer/manufacture has worked this out so that they always come out ahead. The kicker was when the F&I guy (I won't mention his name) made a last ditch effort to sell me the warranty by pitching me a line about an electrical engineer who bought a car with an extended warranty because he realized how complicated cars are today with all the electronics - pretty funny. I guess they get buyers that fall for these canned lines. Anyway, this easily remains my favorite Honda dealer in the area and would highly recommend it. Hope this review proves to be helpful to both the dealer and it's customers. More
