⚠️ AVOID SOUTH SHORE HYUNDAI AT ALL COSTS – UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, AND HOSTILE EXPERIENCE ⚠️ On Saturday, May 10th, I visited South Shore Hyundai with my cousin to lease a 2025 Sonat UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, AND HOSTILE EXPERIENCE ⚠️ On Saturday, May 10th, I visited South Shore Hyundai with my cousin to lease a 2025 Sonata N Line — and it quickly turned into one of the most disrespectful and hostile dealership experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we stepped in, salesperson Chris Gurr made it clear he had zero interest in dealing with informed customers. When asked about available lease offers, his response was not only unprofessional — it was borderline threatening. His exact words: “I’m here to make money. I’m gonna scare the xxxx out of you out the door when I give you the price.” Let that sink in. Despite this, we remained calm and asked to see numbers. What did he come back with? A laughable $600–$700/month quote on a car that’s nowhere near luxury territory. When we pointed out Hyundai’s official lease offer — $415/month for qualified buyers — and presented a fair counter, his response? “That’s stupid.” Still, we proceeded. After running the credit application, they eventually agreed to our numbers — but not before making us sit for nearly HOURS, with zero courtesy, no acknowledgment of the wait, and absolutely no professionalism. Then came the finance manager, Jason Jin — who seemed personally offended that we dared to ask questions about the contract. When I mentioned that we’d been there since 1 PM and were exhausted, his reply? “That’s okay. I’ve been here since 8:30.” This kind of condescension, arrogance, and total disregard for customer service was the theme of the entire visit. To top it off, Chris Gurr continued to harass us for a deposit while we were still reviewing final numbers — pushing aggressively and behaving as if we were legally obligated to pay on the spot (we weren’t). It was clear they were trying to wear us down emotionally and mentally until we gave in. This is not just bad business — it’s predatory, manipulative, and downright toxic. South Shore Hyundai isn’t interested in long-term customer relationships or ethical sales practices. Their goal is to squeeze as much money out of you as possible in one visit, then move on to the next. I’ve already filed a formal complaint with Hyundai USA and will be leaving detailed reviews on Edmunds, BBB, CARFAX, and every relevant platform to warn others. 🚫 You’ve been warned: Stay far away from South Shore Hyundai. 🚫 More
