I have been a Lexus customer for over 19 years. I brag about the customer service you receive at the dealership whenever I talk about about my car. However, recently, I was met with a disappointing I brag about the customer service you receive at the dealership whenever I talk about about my car. However, recently, I was met with a disappointing interaction involving my dad, a disabled Vietnam Veteran, trading in his Lexus for another one at this dealership. We ultimately had to speak with Chris Friedah as their was confusion/misunderstanding about the process for using his VA Disability Car Allowance. When I asked Chris what was the process, he shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know." This was after we had gotten into a contract and found out that the allowance wouldn't be granted until the certification (and driving test). Chris told us that the lower contract would be voided and the larger contract would go into effect if we did not have the certification in hand by the end of the NEXT business day. My issue is that someone in a managerial position should be able to tell you the process instead of shrugging it off as something they have no need to know. I would have at least gotten up and pretended to look for the process to show a bit of care. In the end, we were basically told that we now have a larger amount contract and to figure out the rest ourselves. Chris apparently is "upper" management of some sort as he was brought in to talk to us - this makes the whole exchange and lack of concern and knowledge even more shocking. If anything is taken away from this review it's for Jim Hudson to train it's management team on the different processes and to possibly have a 'refresher' course of some type on customer service, specifically for loyalty customers and veterans. I'll also add that Vincent Ciuffo would be a good standard/example to model when it comes to making customers feel valued, exhibiting a trustworthy and caring attitude, and actually helpful. More
