My wife and I had a very bad experience at Cronin Toyota Nissan of Richmond on Thursday 12/14/2023. We had been in contact via texting/email with Drew (a salesman) on a new 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Limited since Tu Nissan of Richmond on Thursday 12/14/2023. We had been in contact via texting/email with Drew (a salesman) on a new 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Limited since Tuesday 12/12/23. We called the dealership on 12/14/23 in the morning and spoke with salesman Josh to confirm availability of the vehicle before we made the 2 hour and 15 minute drive from Madison, Indiana. Drew had the day off. Josh assured us the vehicle was available and he would have it sitting out front for us to test drive along with a 2024 Highlander Hybrid Limited. We arrived at ~ 12:10pm as Josh was pulling the last of the 2 cars around to the front of the dealership. As we walked in the front doors, another employee asked if they could help us. We told him that we had just driven from Madison to look at the 2 cars. He confirmed that he was aware we had driven so far and was expecting us. My wife and I drove the Highlander first ~ 5 miles with Josh riding with us. We wanted to drive a Highlander to make sure the Rav4 was what we wanted - the salesman was aware the Rav4 was the main vehicle we had come to purchase. Upon our return from test driving the Highlander, we went over to look at the Rav4. There were 2 customers sitting in the vehicle! Needless to say, the dealership sold them the vehicle while we waited at Josh's desk. The dealership should have told the other interested party that another couple had driven a long distance to decide on the Rav4 and they needed to give us the first opportunity to begin negotiating on the Rav4. Instead, we set at Josh's desk and got madder and madder as we watched the other people negotiating. We explained to Josh that this wasn't fair. He went to the managers desk to inform him of our thoughts and then just hung out at the desk while we just sit there and got angrier. This wasn't fair to us whether we drove 200 miles round trip or not. That just added to the frustration we felt. We do not recommend this dealership. We were treated unfairly and they did not care. This company is a joke! Buyer beware you will be buying a piece of crap. May look good on the outside. We’ve had nothing but problems with our 2012 Nissan Quest from the very beginning. Terrible management and terrible used car manager customer s Just bought a car from a very nice young yet unexperienced salesman. I hadnt signed the paperwork and i hadnt driven off with the car when i noticed t Just bought a car from a very nice young yet unexperienced salesman. I hadnt signed the paperwork and i hadnt driven off with the car when i noticed there was no rotation done on the car. Before i continued i asked the salesman to get the tires rotated. He asked the manager and the answer was he will not get anything done to it. Was very disappointing in every aspect. Other dealerships did more and beyond. Before i walked out i went to his manager and told him it amazes me that a cheap rotation denied with no parts needed before signing and beforeleaving with the car was disappointing and also why i refused to give my good review, recommendation or accept letting them take my pic with a 100% customer service satisfaction smileys sign which they insisted i do. The manager was typing on his keyboard, did not stop for a second, did not say anything and never even looked at me for a second the ENTIRE TIME. NOTHING. I walked out and left with a very bad feeling. All because they denied a rotation of the tires. No parts needed. Equipment and many mechanics there. Huge dealership. He did not care one bit about the customer. More
