Mary Jo, the technician gave me every possible issue that had nothing to do with what the issues I brought my car in for. My car was throwing brake malfunction, abs, power steering and engine shut down codes. His response was to start with a new battery since the battery was original. Please tell me how a battery lasts 12 years? It doesn’t. Then it was stated “he assumed it was original”, therefore never actually checking. Then the suggestions were new struts, brakes, rotors, tires and cabin filters. Again NOTHING to do with the codes. Then I was told that since Kost cleared the codes that my engine needed to relearn how to idol. The codes were still on my car when I brought it to your facility. Therefore plugging it into the reader should’ve shown something. I have my own diagnostic reader and it showed actual problems compared to the xx your technician tried giving me. Of course I refused the work. It was almost $3500.00 to fix nothing near what the issue was. This isn’t the first time your techs have told me to fix something that was either already new or not even needed to be fixed.
