I agreed to taking paint and touching it up myself. I live in Massachusetts so I couldn't take possession of the car, having to wait for them to get Mass plates which took 4 days. By the time I picked up the car I had realized if I didn't fully cover the metal which was in a place I couldn't fully see it would begin to rust in a few years. I relayed this to Rick Santos the salesman and pointed out to him that the 182 point checklist had a paragraph which read "dents that cannot be covered with a dime and/or damage that penetrates the base metal must be repaired." The dent is closer to the size of an egg. Rick got Tony Khoury to come out (who did not introduce himself to me) along with two other gentlemen. He repeatedly asked me why it was okay when I bought the car and it suddenly wasn't now. I pointed out the paragraph on the inspection checklist and told him I hadn't reviewed this until I got home. "Forget about the paperwork." I'm supposed to forget about the paperwork, which I only later realized it was HIM who signed off on?? He asked me again and I told him if the scratch had been high up on the car I would've done it without a problem, but being where it was, I was afraid it would rust. "It would rust anywhere, it doesn't matter where it is." I tried to explain myself but he continued to ask me the same question about why it was okay then but not today. My best friend was with me and after several minutes of being silent he jumped in and was asking Tony questions. I realized this was not helping, at one point Tony was talking to both of us and I told my friend to stop and he walked away. I don't remember the full sentence, but he proceeded to call my friend an IMBECILE! It sort of went passed me as I had become upset since I didn't feel they were being fair and standing up to what HE had signed. He finally agreed they would fix it but didn't have a body shop so had to send it out and there were three or four cars ahead of me. He told me he would likely call me Monday afternoon (this was a Saturday) and let me know when I could bring the car up and it would probably take three to four days. The three men went inside and Rick showed me how to use the fob to lock and unlock the doors, what the different car beeps meant, etc. I asked him to get the man's card, still not knowing it was Tony at that point. After we left my friend informed me that during their exchange Tony had called him a MORON! Now, in what business is it acceptable for a Manager to insult anyone in the party of a paying customer? I've worked with the public. It doesn't matter if you get yelled at, insulted or sworn at, the customer can have a bad day. You cannot! What a disgraceful representative of your great company! Also, when the car was moved into the side bay where I picked it up it obviously came into contact with something on the right rear. There is a gouge about an inch long in the rear bumper (plastic or whatever so I can touch that up) and a scratch at about 10:00 from the rear tire which had already been touched up, and below that an area of dark horizontal scuffs-an obvious sign of contact with another surface. These marks can be buffed out. None of this was there when I paid for the car. I continue to believe I got a great Honda, but If I knew anyone that lived in NH and wanted a Honda, I would BEG them to go to another dealer. I also decided I am not going to have them fix the dent. No doubt they will make something for sending cars out for body work. They aren't getting another penny of my money. I'd rather pay a local guy who I know is honest, respectful and does great work. Brought in my 2022 Passport Trailsport for a first oil change, state inspection and (2) recall checks. Dropped off at 8:15 am, and my vehicle was ready by 1 pm. Everything was taken care of, no red flags! change, state inspection and (2) recall checks. Dropped off at 8:15 am, and my vehicle was ready by 1 pm. Everything was taken care of, no red flags! The service staff took care of everything. One thing I wish they'd do is a gratis wash and vacuum job for ya. That'd be a nice addition to any service appointment. More
