The aim is neither to persuade anyone to buy or not to buy a car at this place, but simply to highlight MY experience so you know which I’s to dot and which T’s to cross. On July 31 2024 I took my 2021 buy a car at this place, but simply to highlight MY experience so you know which I’s to dot and which T’s to cross. On July 31 2024 I took my 2021 Nissan rogue to Wayne Mazda in Wayne New Jersey to trade in for a Mazda 2024 CX50. The Nissan was a lease with 7 payments remaining and I signed all the documents that stated Wayne Mazda would take care of the remaining payments along with the disposition fees. All this was calculated in my down payment, which was $5000, and I also made the first payment on the new car(CX50). On August 15 2024 I tried calling Wayne Mazda because I was concerned about a statement that was sent to me from Nissan Corp regarding an outstanding balance on the account. I was transferred to finance but no one picked up the phone. I text the Rep that sold me the car expressing my concern about the statement from Nissan. In the text message, the Rep assured me that he personally took the Nissan Rogue to a Nissan dealership in Denville New Jersey on RT 10 and submitted the payment and that it may take awhile to reflect(he did not say when he took the car there or submitted the payment). On September 04 2024 I received yet another statement from Nissan with a balance of 3 months unpaid (July, August and September). I again reached out to the Rep via text message, expressing my frustration and informed him that I called Denville Nissan and spoke with the manager who was adamant that they neither received any payment but that they wouldn’t be the one to even collect the payments. I again called Wayne Mazda and got through to someone in finance who “confirmed” that they made the payment. When I ask if he was able to see if that check was cashed he told me he wouldn’t be able to. All these back and forth with Denville Nissan and Wayne Mazda was after I already contacted Nissan Corp who was careful to inform me that they received no such payment and it was my responsibility to make all payments. Frustrated, I hopped into the car and headed to Wayne Mazda from North Brunswick, because the Rep wasn't responding and I wasn’t getting through to anyone when I called. I got there and met the Rep when I pulled up. He realized my frustration and tried to find me his manager. I met with a Sales Manager, whom I expressed my concern and he had me emailed him the statement I received from Nissan, which I did, and assured me that he will personally take care of it. During the course of the day (Sept 4) I applied for a personal loan to consolidate our debt and was surprised when I was denied. Though I had a credit score of 745, I knew that didn’t mean anything, but the fact that I was denied, I then found out I was delinquent on my credit. This came as a shock because I knew I had 100% payments history on my report for over a decade. When I went to check my report I noticed that the delinquent was placed on my credit report from Nissan Corp for missed payments. It plunged my credit score from 745 to 675(70points). I had to go to the Nissan dealer to make the payment myself so that my credit score would not take a second hit for non payment. Even though they’ve been lying to me all this time telling me that they paid it. And by the way I’m still driving around with a 2 month expired registration with not updated one and can’t get an answer as to when or why the plates aren’t ready. Save yourself the headache. Rethink this place. More
