Unfortunately had to follow up and readjust my rating due to lack of communication and transparency. Went in on 8/18/25 due to a nail in my tire. The car was ready on 8/21/25. After a couple weeks I noticed there were some scratches on the inner lip of my wheel with the flat that had been replaced. I took some pictures of the damage and sent it to my advisor, Kevin Reynoso on Tuesday 9/2/25 to review. I was told then on Wednesday 9/3/25 that footage would be reviewed and I’d have an answer by Thursday 9/4/25. I did not get any communication. I reached out on Friday 9/5/25 only to get an automated out of office answer. I received a follow up back from Kevin on Monday 9/8/25 saying I’d have an answer by the following day. I did get receive a response via text on Tuesday 9/9/25, but only saying that my request was denied and that a discount could be applied for fixing the wheel. I immediately called Kevin and requested to speak to his manager, CJ Nemec. He was unavailable, but I was assured he would contact me by the time he was leaving that evening. 7 PM rolls by and nada. Zilch. I reach out again the next day via phone on Wednesday 9/10/25 and hear that CJ is off for the day so I speak with TJ, another service manager and he said he’d have CJ reach out to me the next day on 9/11/25. It’s now Friday 9/12/25 and it is still radio silence. This is just flat out poor customer communication! I have zero issues with the claim being denied if the damage was present prior to me dropping off my car for service, but if you have the technology to have footage to review share it with the client to alleviate any doubts! More

Especially from Darek Smorz in the Sales Department, he continually kept us informed of the progress of our ordered 2023 Honda Crv-Ex-L almost daily for 6 weeks, and continually responded to my repeated requests on the other cars available. He also took time to show me all the features of the Crv when I went to pick up our new 2023 Honda Crv-Ex-L. I also want to thank C. Akira Shibata, the used car manager for all the time he spent in evaluating the trade in of our 2017 Honda Crv-Ex-L, which required almost $2,500 for the air conditioner compressor repair and approximately $2,000.00 in 46,000 miles maintenance. Akira evaluation made us realize it was better to trade in our 2017 Honda Crv-Ex-l for a new Honda Crv-Ex-L at a very good price. More importantly he gave us a 2022 Honda Accord Sport loaner car to use until our car arrived. This offer was crucial in our purchase of the new 2023 Honda Crv-Ex-L. My wife used the car for 6 weeks. I drove the car from the dealership and back to the dealership. It is the best riding car I have ever driven. I also want to thank CJ Nemec Service Consultant who at my request inspected our 2017 Honda CRV-Ex-L twice to confirm that the $4,500.00 in repairs were needed. The second inspection started me to think about trading in that vehicle and putting the money towards a new 2023 Honda Crv-Ex-L. I also want to thank Jay, Mike, and one other individual at the Service Desk for explaining all the requirements for the loaner car and answering all my questions. Finally, I want to thank Jarvis D Jones Sr. the business manager for explaining the different Honda warranties available and for developing a 5-year or 75,000-mile warranty that is equal to and less expensive than car warranties offered by other companies. This is our second purchase from McGrath Honda of St. Charles in addition to taking my 2009 Honda LX for maintenance and repairs. I highly recommend McGrath Honda of St. Charles for any new purchase or maintenance. Once again terrific customer service at every level: service or the purchase of a new vehicle.
