NOT WHAT I UNDERSTOOD ME TO BE PURCHASING sales rep contacted me over the weekend after i applied online for approval on a 2016 Accent sport hatch for $18,333. Drove personal car to dealershi sales rep contacted me over the weekend after i applied online for approval on a 2016 Accent sport hatch for $18,333. Drove personal car to dealership in order to verify what the trade in would be. It was late evening and sales rep was gone for the day. Once arrived i spoke to finance and stated why i was there and then silence for approximately 30 mins easy. I was beginning to get frustrated and was about to walk out when they approached me and asked me to look at a vehicle they pulled around. It was a sedan. I explained i am not interested in sedan applied for 2016 accent sport hatch. they didn't think they had one on the lot, i explained i wasn't here to buy car i was here to find out about trade. The finance guy stated let me check our inventory and pulled up a black hatch. Keep in mind it was dark outside without much lighting from the dealership. They pulled it to the side and not the front. My bad for assuming it was a 2016 sport hatch like i requested. Went in and sat down alone at a desk for sometime while they worked on paperwork they said and a gentleman started handing me keys. I said why are you handing me keys i don't even know if i am going to buy the car because they hadn't said anything about the trade in price and he stated they won't let you leave here without it. (I should have opened my eyes then). They made me an offer of trade as down payment and discussed financing. Since my credit is not great i figured the increase in price financing was due to that and accepted the deal. Again i should not have thought the seller had my best interested at hand and should have made them give me the contract to take home and review. (I will NOT make that mistake again). 2 days later when i was able to review the contract and see the car, because we got the vehicle for my husband to drive to work i drove our other vehicle, noticed it was not a 2016 but a 2015 and it was NOT A SPORT as i insisted but a HATCH. So now i am stuck with a car i didn't want. Lesson learned. Check Everything before you sign!!! More
