I started my sales career as a home theater expert for Best Buy, but then shortly after, developed a passion for Automobile Sales. I’m currently working on my degree at Kennesaw State University. Whenever I’m not at the dealership you can typically either find me online running a gaming channel on YouTube or finding my time trying to stick to some sort of gym schedule with friends. When this dealership was Cobb Kia, I can say I'd have given 5 stars. I loved working with Melvin. Cain. I live 1.5 hours away now, but went back to do business there again.. Unfortunately, under Jim El given 5 stars. I loved working with Melvin. Cain. I live 1.5 hours away now, but went back to do business there again.. Unfortunately, under Jim Ellis ownership, it's a clown show. I went here in December 2021 to look at a Sorento after having LOVED my Sportage. I ended up placing an order to have one made in January and gave a $2500 deposit. My sales rep was very attentive and even gave me his personal cell to stay in touch since it was going to take 3-4 months to get my vehicle. During the wait period as I followed up with my rep, I find out he no longer works there. No one was assigned to follow up on my order and I couldn't get updates. I ended up driving there to get answers and I'm told it's been ordered, but lo-and-behold, it wasn't. So for the next several weeks, I followed up weekly with another guy Bryson... this past week, I sent him 3 emails and none were answered. So again, I drove to the dealership and I'm told again, it's not been ordered with Kia. At this point, I brought up a proposed solution of switching my order from a Sorento to an XLine Sportage and just transferring my deposit to that car instead. I've been waiting over 8 weeks at this point, so this seems like a good option. One is due to come in on 4/2. Guess what? They treated this as though I was a new customer; they added $3,000 to the MSRP of the vehicle and only gave me 24 hours to come in and get the new car when it arrived. I eventually got my deposit back and I'll never be back. Ever. I realize this is a tight market, but when you've been dragging a customer along for 8 weeks, and your CUSTOMER has to chase down contacts, chase down updates, and chase down alternative options, it's inconceivable that you tack on $3K and act like it's a brand new sale. Stay away... Not worth your aggravation. More

I found a car online that was at Jim Ellis Kia and sent a message to the dealership. Within 2 minutes, I received a reply from Bryson Smith. He answered all our questions and concerns. The next morning, m message to the dealership. Within 2 minutes, I received a reply from Bryson Smith. He answered all our questions and concerns. The next morning, my husband and I went to the dealership to meet Bryson and to get a closer look at the vehicle. Within 2 hours, we were owners of a great vehicle! This was the quickest and most uneventful purchase of a vehicle we have EVER had!! Bryson was on top of everything from beginning to end and kept us advised as to the steps of the transaction. Call Bryson - he is great! We are very pleased with our purchase! More

I bought a new 22 Kia Soul in October and have not had a single mile where my car was flawless except when it was being test driven. Despite promises made; the service department and the management team hav single mile where my car was flawless except when it was being test driven. Despite promises made; the service department and the management team have all been unable to fix an issue with a brand new Apple Car Play. Their advice has been to call Kia Motors and talk to them. Kia’s advice has been to call the dealership. Their advice was to not have an Apple phone. The solution was to order a new radio, and they still do not have an eta of when or if it will even be ordered. I’ve left too many voicemails with this entire team to be ignored. I do not trust this team anymore and do not want anyone else to have to deal with them. Please go to another dealer that will make sure your car and you are taken care of in a timely manner. More
