11 years of excellent service at Portland Volvo I have owned two Volvo's 2004 S40 & 2008 used xc 70, Both have been purchased & serviced at Portland Volvo, which has given me 11 years of worry f I have owned two Volvo's 2004 S40 & 2008 used xc 70, Both have been purchased & serviced at Portland Volvo, which has given me 11 years of worry free driving knowing that my car has always been given excellent quality of work,.I am always consulted , and advised if they find something other than the regular service I came in for.I wouldn't think of g taking my Volvo anywhere else. More

Fast scheduling for my Mini Cooper I was able to get an appointment for the next day for a check engine light issue. The problem was resolved to my satisfaction. Solid. I have a 2005 Volvo S60 and have been servicing my vehicle at Portland Volvo for the past year and a half. I find the service to be fine and solid. I I have a 2005 Volvo S60 and have been servicing my vehicle at Portland Volvo for the past year and a half. I find the service to be fine and solid. I also enjoy the convenience of the dealership. They offer shuttle rides or even a loaner car without hesitation. Whenever I bring my car in to have something looked at they diagnose and repair the same day without hesitation which I find to be very convenient. That being said, my thought is when going to a dealer and paying the premium labor $ per hour I would receive EXCEPTIONAL service, but I have noticed that they do what is asked and don't look go above and beyond. Dont' get me wrong when they do work on my vehicle it is done and fixed. But I was extremely disappointed when I went in to pick up my car the other day after a $650 repair and they explained my driver side window was off the track and they could turn off the switch for very little money or fix it, which would have cost nearly $700. I said just turn it off so I can't use the window anymore. I then asked the service clerk is this an inspectable item and he said yes when it is due for an inspection you will need it fixed. I guess he didn't take the time to look at my inspection sticker and notice that my inspection is due next month. I also was a little ticked off when my window washer fluid was low and they didn't fill it up. I guess the $650 I paid wasn't enough...I thought they had an investment in me being a young driver and a relatively new Volvo owner that they would want to try to delight me and provide exceptional service. That's not the case, since the cost is way too high here for the value I think I will explore other garages for my next service visit. I also have decided that I will NEVER buy another Volvo after the 4 or 5 $500 to $1500 repairs to keep this car going. It has been a headache and I would recommend to not buy a Volvo. More

I honestly am absolutely floored with how well I was treated at Portland Volvo. This was, by far, the absolute best car buying experience you could ever ask for. They took car of everything and made i treated at Portland Volvo. This was, by far, the absolute best car buying experience you could ever ask for. They took car of everything and made it so easy to come and pick up the car. I drove 11 hours to pick up my vehicle and they made me feel right at home the second I got there. I am definitely going to be purchasing my next car when I decide I need a new one. They are worth every second of that long 11 hour drive. They make you feel like they actually care about you and not about just getting you to buy a car. Most dealerships, you feel like you're a fish surrounded by sharks. But not here. Here they treat you like family, and help you in every way imaginable. So I highly highly highly recommend purchasing your next car from Portland Volvo! You will NOT be disappointed! More

Overall, my experience at Portland Volvo was fantastic and exceeded expectations; I highly recommend the dealership for sales and service. I was looking for a hard-to-find used V50 T5 with manual transmis and exceeded expectations; I highly recommend the dealership for sales and service. I was looking for a hard-to-find used V50 T5 with manual transmission early in the summer, when seemingly none could be found locally or nationally. Cary Smart was my salesperson, and promised to keep me on "the list" should one come in locally. To my (and his) amazement, a manual V50 T5 had arrived in local trade, so he phoned me and advised that with a refundable deposit I could have first right of refusal on the car. I made the trip in to test drive, took a night to consider my other car options, and returned the next day to complete the paperwork. The financing process was simple and straight-forward, with fairly competitive rates and fees. The wagon did require a final piece of service work before the dealership would release it to me, so I was given a free loaner until the car was ready the next day. Overall the process was simple, pressure-free, and Cary's deep knowledge of Volvos and successful history at Portland Volvo set apart this from other dealerships. When returning for service work and to order parts, Bryan Woodworth and David Cleveland clearly conveyed expectations, explained the service work, advised quotes and pricing, provided loaners, and schedule service when convenient for me. Thanks again for a great buying and service experience. Thanks again for a simple, clear and understandable car buying process. More
