Be careful purchasing a car from this dealership! The dealership advertised one price online, but when going in to purchase the car, they advised us additional $1700 in 'dealer fees' (including $1 The dealership advertised one price online, but when going in to purchase the car, they advised us additional $1700 in 'dealer fees' (including $1200 'PermaPlate' interior and exterior protection, which was already applied and would not be refunded). Also, during the meeting with their "Business Manager", he appeared to engage in several deceptive sales tactics: *he stated GAP insurance was mandatory ($1200) and would not be removed from the purchase contract. Be advised: GAP insurance is NOT mandatory. *he stated that purchasing the extended warranty would result in a lower finance rate on their car loan. (It would be better to pay in cash or have your own financing lined up ahead of time.) *he claimed that the 84-month extended warranty would start once the manufacture and CPO warranties expired (resulting in 12 years of warranty!). We later verified that is not accurate, and the extended warranty started the day of our purchase and ran concurrently with the manufacture/CPO warranty. After realizing that the Business Manager was deceptive with us, we attempted to cancel the GAP Coverage, Extended Warranty and Tire and Rim Coverage. We worked with the dealership's General Manager. (If you have any problems with your purchase, ask for the GM to help. He responded after several voicemails and emails to him.) The Gap Coverage was canceled the very next day with the dealership. All of the coverages were canceled before the dealership submitted them to the warranty company. It took the dealership five weeks to get everything canceled and reimbursed (holding on to our money). However, they only reimbursed the amount of the actual warranties and not refund the interest they caused to accrue. Also, they had us leave the dealership without most of our paperwork and assured us they would send it to us. It took many requests to get the needed paperwork, and we are still waiting for the PermaPlate warranty documentation. In retrospect. we should have walked out the door the moment they told us of the substantially different price on the car (+$1700), and especially after meeting with the Business Manager. Once we spoke with the GM, he was good at listening to our concerns but we still don't have resolution to all of our issues with this dealership and our purchase. Lessons learned: before going to any dealership, ask them what additional fees and products they have added and have your financing already lined up. GAP insurance is not required. The extended warranty starts the day of purchase. More
