I was shopping for a Corolla Cross and the dealer Rep. was great. However when it came to getting pricing from the manager, they added $3,500 to the MSRP of $31.7k for floor mats, window tint and mud guar was great. However when it came to getting pricing from the manager, they added $3,500 to the MSRP of $31.7k for floor mats, window tint and mud guards- and they claim they put those items on every car for dealer prep and charge that amount. It’s a complete rip off to jack the starting point by more than 10%. I also had 3 managers call me to ask how I was treated but crickets once I challenged the ridiculous add ons. I ended up buying out of state where they gave me delivery and much more honest and transparent pricing and negotiations. Do yourself a favor- if Scott Clark has a car you want, negotiate somewhere else and maybe they will match- but it’s a complete waste of time otherwise as you will never get a good deal if you start there. More
