I purchased my 2025 Kia K5 GT-Line from Nick at Kia Bridgewater. The purchasing process was smooth, and the vehicle performed well during the test drive and immediately after purchase. However, within less than 3,000 miles, I needed to bring in the vehicle due to a problematic Kia Access update that caused all remote commands to fail. After that visit, I was not informed that I would need to reconfigure all vehicle profiles and re-pair all connected devices; I chose to overlook this since it is a reprogramming issue that can be addressed later. Today, 4/22/25, I had another service visit that was particularly frustrating and unprofessional. After owning the vehicle for approximately one and a half months, I noticed a high-pitched air/whistling sound coming from near the driver’s side door at speeds of 45 mph or higher. This noise is audible to myself and other passengers, including my children, my 90-year-old father-in-law, and my wife. It diminishes the overall comfort and enjoyment of the vehicle. I would not have initiated service for this issue if it were not significantly disruptive, especially since my wife’s 2022 Telluride Nightfall Edition does not exhibit this problem. Service staff examined the vehicle and asked me to wait about an hour. Upon returning, I was informed that there was no issue—everything appeared to be sealed and in order, and no noise was detected. I was firm in stating the noise was quite noticeable regularly and specifically during quiet moments without music or conversation, and it causes headaches during longer drives. The service manager, Bob, insisted there was no noise and took a test drive; during this, the vehicle was traveling at 50-55 mph on the highway, and despite my hearing the whistling clearly from the passenger seat, he claimed not to hear anything. This lack of acknowledgment of a consistent, noticeable noise was disappointing, especially given that multiple passengers of varying ages also perceive it. I also discussed the issue with the sales staff who sold the vehicle, but I received little acknowledgment or assistance. Everyone at this dealership is very nice and they are extremely knowledgeable! I came in for an oil change and they took care of my recall at the same time so I didn’t have to come back.
